Erm quick one, patch for 93913 installed ok. But i'm getting Incompatible version. Has someone deployed the patch but not upgrade the server? lol (As of 19:00 aprox GMT)
Just a flag to let dev's know really. Not winging.
/me fears CCP have done as above, then gone home for the day :P Thats if you are allowed to leave the office at CCP a few days before a patch lol.
I would make another test copy and try and go back one version. But that would mean i'd have to run about 12 downloaded patches, or download 2 gig patch :s

I believe you are trying to connect to TQ with your Sisi client. The patch is NOT a test patch and it will not automatically point to Sisi. You need to make a shortcut, edit the Target box and add "/server:87.237.38.50" there. Then launch the client from the shortcut.
I'll take that coffee now, thanks.

Edited by: Draco Argen on 07/03/2009 22:36:30 How odd, spot on Oneiromancer. I've been running in this same fashion for every single patch since Apoc started going onto SISI, first time it's brought this up. Possibly something that was brought in line with the general progression to full and proper release I suppose. The patcher always seemed to redirect the server for me before.
I'm also not the only one, by the looks of it http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1016231&page=1#1. I'd flag it in that thread for those peeps, but you seem to have beat me to it ;)
I also understand your explanation there (Circumventing what i said above, but this is written as thought lol), I will have to remember that next time we go from test to release in 6th months. :)
Much appreciated.
African Maragogype? Hawaiian, or Columbian?
EDIT: Fail to Draco for not spotting TRANQUILITY above the Incompatible version lmao, fixed and happy

Add it after the last quote:
"C:\Programm Files\CCP\EVE\bla.exe" /server:blabla

Add it after the last quote (and not inside the quotes). For example:
"C:\Programm Files\CCP\EVE\bla.exe" /server:blabla
OH SWEET! it works :) thank you lots

Wait... does this imply what I think it implies? Is the test patch pointing to the TQ server? Meaning we wont have to download the TQ patch (assuming that the test patch is the same as the one that goes live).

Not always. These clients are usually referred to as "release candidates", and have all settings geared for the production server. As we have a few days before release, I'm betting there will be a patch or three yet forthcoming fixing the niggling bits left.

I've tried several variations, yet none of them allows me to change the target server to SiSi on the mac client.

Mac: 1. Follow these steps first: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=714213 2. Open your/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Eve Online/Preferences/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility/settings/ 3. Edit the PREFS.INI file. 4. Add the this line:
Quote:server=87.237.38.50
4. Save it 5. Profit - you will now be able to log into the test server!

Could just be me being thick "But" then again: 1) I have created a shortcut from my newly patched client. 2)I have gone to the shortcut, and right clicked on shortcut. 3) Selected the target box and added /server:87.237.38.50. 4) it now reads E:\Evetest\EVE\eve.exe/server:87.237.38.50 5) Apply.....invalid shortcut 6)Am I being blonde
