Idea: Add a filter for character age
Scammers are plenty nowadays. From what I see it's mostly people selling supposedly "good stuff" from noob accounts. They can't really use their mains as people block scammers and they need new chars to make it work again.
If there was a filter for skipping contracts from characters younger then xx days you would get rid of 90% scam contracts you see when searching for something.
Add the same filter to seeing links from same chars in local and you cleaned up Jita local scamms with no effort at all.

What happens when a 5 year combat veteran discovers that they could either spend the time and effort training Industrial, Social, and Trade skills... or they could create a brand new Business alt who starts with all the necessary skills a lot closer to completion.
Now you're discriminating against that poor guy, and I don't think he'll like you for it.
Besides, what about an honest Rookie who just wants to make his way in New Eden? He can't sell his wares either? For shame...
"Scams" are only scams, if you're a sucker. Read carefully before you sign anything, and you'll be fine. Rule applies in the real world, just like it does in Jita.

I see your point but it doesn't apply to most people for the following reasons.
1) If a person has any intention of using that char for real it will be older then 30 days before you actually haul the stuff to jita to sell.
2) New char can't fly stuff like navy or faction ships. It can't fly T2 ships. Since he has to fly them to jita with a main char he can alse setup contracts with that char. Selling navy ravens and such stuff with noob chars is 99% scam.
3) Real noobs don't really have the stuff that needs contracts to sell. T1 and named stuff can be easily sold through market.
I'll add the following to my idea though. Contracts from blocked people should not appear on your list when searching for stuff.
PS: I never was scammed myself. I just hate going through all the bogus contracts from 5 day alts

What faction ship scam are you talking about?
Like someone listing a regular T1 ship, but calling it a Navy or T2? Because that's simply mislabeling your merchandise... and its up to the customer to make sure they're really buying what they think is in the box.
Character age has nothing to do with whether or not you allow yourself to get cheated. I could scam you with a 5 day old and a 5 year old character just as easily. Especially since I could BUY someone elses 5 year old character, and you'd never know it wasn't the same player its been since Day 1.

I never said it would remove all scams. But I would like the option to get rid of most of them.
And yes I am talking about the T1 for faction/navy stuff scam. 1 day old char won't have that stuff. He can sell his T1 stufff on the market.
Go to Jita and check scams. I'll give you a mil for each scam from a 5 year old char :)
Not really sure what you're arguing against though. Setting up that filter would be a players option and not on by default. I am betting most older chars would use it when looking for big value stuff.
