Edited by: IceEclipse on 07/03/2009 21:51:30 if you never have before, running from concord is really hard. without quick reflexes and a steady hand, you will die almost every time. it is much easier if you are in a frigate or shuttle so they hopefully wont hit you before you uncloak to warp off to the next gate or a station. the part im interested in is the cloaked bit. if you are cloaked concord cant hit you, correct? so i wonder if you could uncloak and use an alpha strike to kill frigate class ships in high sec as long as you cloak before concord comes in, which is about 5 seconds. any practiced alpha-strike stealth bomb pilot could accomplish this. thank you for reading and please post your opinion.

You won't be able to cloak with a GCC in high-sec - the cloak itself just won't activate.
Besides - it has been stated by the devs on many occasions that if you get a GCC while in highsec, you must lose your ship to CONCORD. Any circumventing this mechanic (e.g. using black ops ships to jump out to low-sec after an instapop gank) is classed as an exploit; you will have your ship removed anyway by the GMs, and will face consequences if you do it deliberately/repeatedly.
So, it's not even worth trying to think of ways to avoid CONCORD, because you can't by fiat.

Escaping Concord is impossible and forbidden. They can see through Cloaks.
Avoiding destruction from Concord is considered an exploit.

Edited by: Liitar on 08/03/2009 01:30:32 You aren't running from concord, you are running from the faction navy - exponentially easier.
And yes, you could uncloak and alpha a frig before you get fisted quite easily.
EDIT: You would of course then be destroyed....

First, make sure you have your enforcers correct - Concord and the Faction Navy are two completely different things.
The Navy are the ones who gank you when you enter the gate with bad sec. The Navy are the ones who will gank you when you try and undock. The Navy are out-manouverable.
Concord are the ones who show up when you attack someone. Out-manouvering them, while probably not impossible, is considered an exploit.
That said, I outrun the Caldari Navy maybe 10 times a day, and not just with safespots. Fit your ship correctly and your chances get considerably better. That said, they will hound you and hound you until you are out of system - and if you get just a little lag, or take too long/go the wrong way, you die.

I find it amusing that while escaping CONCORD is considered an exploit, there's an NPC mission to track down a "criminal" who managed to evade CONCORD and is hiding out somewhere nearby (I've gotten this one a number of times.)

Concord laffs at cloaks. It does nothing to them.

That is how serious the exploit is - if you do manage to do it, they make you an NPC and put you in a crap mission for carebears to get you
