I was just on my way back from Stacmon to PC9 0.0 region (Syndicate), half way through the jumps I get followed by a known pirate - I believe he was in a faster ship, and started to chase me.
I keep moving as I have the instas and shouldnt get time to lock me if I warp though the route of gates immedaitely, on the next gate I was cought by a game bug. I clicked jump from coming out of warp alittle too early "Jump in progress" appeared however I remained in the system (My pirate is now locking me) 10 seconds till I am locked.
I m clicking the stop ship command, and try and warp, still stuck. - I am now fully locked by this nasty pirate, warp scrambled and webbed...... Hence the end of my 110 Isk raven...
I have sent a petition to ccp ! I hope they have this logged on their severs properly, as this was totally unfair. If I do not get a +++ response from them then Im.
If it hadnt have been for this damm bug I know my ship would still be here, I shouldnt have to work around bugs like this...
my question is has anyone had any similair expierences to this, and had any positive reponses.
If I do get a neg response then I am back in empire and would love to help someone with a mining op while I rebuild my isk.

i was insured it the fact that every time I looose a bs due to either a bug or pirates I loose 30 mill insurance money.
30 mill is still too much to loose. -

its a well known bug. but surely anyone using insta's knows..never EVER press jump while coming out of warp!!! you gotta give it a couple of seconds, the pirate isnt gonna do much in a couple seconds. stay calm and dont panic. afaik its the only way of avoiding this bug.

Best way to avoid this bug, is to use autopilot. Turn it on while in warp, and off once you get the jumping message.
I would petition and you may get your stuff back, but i wouldn't hold my breath.

i dont think it is a bug since you only get that if you havent completely gotten out of warp before you hit jump.
i never get that if i make sure i am out of warp completely, but ive gotten it if i try to hit jump to early.
and yes insurance is your friend.
as for going into 0.0 and getting depressed when your ship gets blown up, no need since when you go to 0.0 you should already have kissed the ship goodbye and be prepared to loose it if so be.
no need to cry over 1's and 0's that resides on a computer in iceland.
just go and play for fun instead.

I never had to petition such a thing. GM comments and decisions are very rarely, if ever, discussed on the forums. Patience is what you need now. If you disagree with GM decision, discuss with them - might you can add more details for them to judge your case. But do not discuss here

I never had to petition such a thing. GM comments and decisions are very rarely, if ever, discussed on the forums. Patience is what you need now. If you disagree with GM decision, discuss with them - might you can add more details for them to judge your case. But do not discuss here

I do not take any offense being called a noob, I have not been playing that long in comparison to most of the pirates.
Im only looking for someone to help me out now as most of my corp is now in pc9 , im not returning there until i have more skill points and cash to replace any more ships

well i have never had that problem with not being able to jump unless i hadnt gotten out of warp completely first.
simple as that.
as for the "noob" remark heres some education for you...
the term "n00b" (note spelling with 2 00 instead of 2 oo as you did) is a age old computer slang word that was used for "newbie's" wich werent ever able to learn anything even though they were told how things work over and over again compared to the "Newbie" who is a person who are new but are able to learn compared to the "n00b" who will never be able to learn.
also i might add that it is always the 1337 n00bs who spell it "noob so guess where i put your lame flame attempt.
fact still stand that i dont think it is bug as i have never had it happen to me when ive have come out of warp completely only when i have tried to jump before im completely out of warp.

to my knowledge ccp do not refind you for that obious jump bug, just the other day we had to sacrifice 2 cruisers to draw fire from a jump bugged raven that was being chased, luckily theyd ecided to scramble 2 cruisers instead of a battleship lol
i lost a rifter and a pod to this bug, had the logs stating both, had a screenshot of, after i got podde,d is een my corpse, autopiliot jumping, i had a 0 structure 0 armour and sheild building up pod in the next system
through about 5 replies from a gm i was told i would not be reemburssed, this wasnt a bug, im lucky it was only a rifter i lost...

i lost a rifter and a pod to this bug, had the logs stating both, had a screenshot of, after i got podde,d is een my corpse, autopiliot jumping, i had a 0 structure 0 armour and sheild building up pod in the next system
through about 5 replies from a gm i was told i would not be reemburssed, this wasnt a bug, im lucky it was only a rifter i lost...

2. Use autopilot to make the jump. Seems to be safer.
3. Don't trust GMs telling you that the game prevents you up to twenty minutes from jumping (with or without agression by you). They actually never play the game.

I suspect the bug is caused by the less experienced player frantically rightclicking jump on the gate. The timer seems to refresh itself everytime they click it. CCP should fix this bug as it punishes newer players in an unfair way.

- this is pricisly my point. As it stood I was aware of the bug however people should not have to work around the bugs.
- I love how people have blamed me for it, The bug is not my fault, and as for my raven it would still be alive if it hadnt have been for the stupid bug.

A raven on raven and you lasted 10secs
let me calculate this
a raven has 12-15k of hp adding hull arour and sheild
so that means this dude had to do between 1200 and 1500 dmg per second, and that before resistance.
6 launchers with a rof of 10secs with torps that id do 2000 dmg each id do it.
I want some torps like those

a corpmate of mine found an abandoned battleship at a safepot,
and logged off in space with it.
next time he logged in he was sitting in a station without any ship,
what happend was that the GM gave the ship BACK to the original owner who petitioned for it. o_0 |

you claim to be a n00b, but you fly a Raven. Anybody in a BS is not to be considered a n00b but a threat.
If you really are someone with less skill points, stay in cruisers untill you can not only fly a BS, but also use it properly. My main char has 8 mill skillpoints, but i'm still fine-tuning some skills before taking her on on real PvP.
If you fly a BS as a n00b, you're not a n00b, but just plain stupid. Also, only fly a BS when you can afford to replace it. Insurance alone doesn't cover it. You need backup money for the modules too.
Learn from this, and consider bugs as a threat and handle them accordingly. In this case, use the autopilot as they said.
But that wasn't your question. I don't have experience petitioning for these kinda request, but don't get your hopes up, thßt i do know |
