We had a cool fight on singularity versus a sleeper fleet. We had a titan, a few carriers and dreads and the rest battleships and some support cruisers. There was about 35 of us in our fleet versus a fleet of about 35 sleepers which where mainly battleships and cruisers. The entire sleeper sniper fleet would focus all fire on one target until it was destroyed. Many of us crashed to desktop for unknown reasons but the fight was fun none the less. My well tanked Chimera carrier was called sleeper primary at the end of the fight. Checking the log, I lasted a little over only two and a half minutes! 0.0 sleeper fights are no joke. Best come well prepared! Below is a very small snippet of the damage taken from combat log:

I for one welcome our new sleeper overlords. Thank god they have no interest in know space or we'd be seeing mass panic and rage-quitting. I mean, they surely don't know how to use probes,do they? The 'Fendahlian Collective' strikes again |

This is exactly our own plan as well. It looks like this is the only way to get through. 12 x paladins focused fire with tactical will hopefully keep the coals burning.
Can't wait!

Seems like it's going to be nearly impossible to take on those kind of fleets without significant losses.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

The crashes were pretty significant, not sure what that was about. I'm slightly concerned though that the wormholes don't seem to support enough mass to get the type of fleet you need though the wormhole. Interesting stuff though.

Starts sounding like big fleetbattles against npc and not small gang pewpew, that would be silly.

Thats strange as I heard that MM already anchored a second POS on every moon in Tribute just to be sure not to lose it to NPCs

Reinforcing to PvE players "don't fly what you can't afford to lose"? Check! Teaching PvE players that there's more to combat than running dual reps? Check! ****ing off players who are so used to a guaranteed victory? Check!
Sounds like a win win to me.

Does this mean passive cruise-ravens won't be able to tank the spawnz?

No they deliberately focus fire on weaker or priority targets such as logistics afaik.

Edited by: CHAOS100 on 09/03/2009 16:16:32 Edited by: CHAOS100 on 09/03/2009 16:16:19 I was in the same fleet as the OP, and we made a few observations by the end of it. The ISD BH that was with us said it was an 'easy' complex and that it could be done alone or with only a couple people. Yet when we warped out massive fleet we had an equally massive INSTAPWNZOR sleeper gang. The gang popped my 30k armor domi with good resists in 3 vollies, about less than 10 seconds as they focus fire and change targets quick. They also took down multiple sieged dreads. So much alpha strike it was not able to be remote repped no matter how hard you did it.
Basically for every carrier or dread, the sleepers will spawn 6 BS for each one. So when we brought around 6 caps, they spawned 36 bs. I did not manage to find out for sure, but I believe BS do not spawn anything significant or anything extra. So DONT BRING CAPS! They spawn stuff to make it harder for you and it would be easier to do with BS in the first place. The 6 bs will nearly insta pop your fighters as well. They also scramble and web from 40km (so much for making it like real players CCP -- more like cheating cpu's as I expected).
The titan did not make anything extra spawn, because titans aren't supposed to be there in the first place. The DD did not kill anything.

I would agree. Do not bring capital ships. If you do, the Sleepers spawn uber ownage and then the non-cap ships get wiped out in short order then the caps have no support. On top of that, the cap ships will kill off the worm hole much faster anyways. Also, like Chaos100 said, be prepared to fight it out until the end. The Sleepers warp scramble from ridiculous range and you won't be going anywhere.

On the other hand, doing a wormhole in lowsec, a "unknown" level one, it is fairly basic, something you would expect from an easy lvl 3 mission. BS are not allowed to enter. Doing it with 3 people, 1 nighthawk doesn't break 90% shield. can easily solo the whole system in a command ship, probably a t1 bc --------------
