I have a vital question.
Will new Apocrypha client work well on newest macbook's with GMA X3100 as far as i'm informed it doesn't have 2.0 Shaders support. |

The newest macbooks don't have GMA X3100, but nVidia 9600M, and they work good. I tested the latest test client on my Alu Macbook and got decent performance (average 40 fps on Lite mode).
However, I also ran it on a 'old' MacMini (With Intel GMA 950), no real success story, but it worked. So I'm quite confident it will run on your Intel GMA X3100 GPU macbook. Premium Lite is yer friend there. (In graphic settings: Optimize for performance)
Looking at the performance of the Alu Macbook with 9600M, I can estimate that EVE will run playable on the complete (new) range of current Apple Mac products, from MacMini to MacPro, since all are starting with the nVidia 9600M in the low end now.

It will look better for sure. Premium lite looks way better that the current Classic client.
About the performance, as far as I tested with my Macs, the performance is on par on low end Macs and way better on the higher end Mac with better GPUs.

At minimum settings it looks worse. But you probably do not need minimum settings.

I have a X3100, and it works, even better than the current client.
Only had missing warp graphics... and when you look to all the rocks in a belt it gets real slow, but apart from that, its very usable... and X3100 support shader model 4.0.

Shader model 4.0??? does it even exist? wasn't the latest like 3.0?

Shader model 4.0 exists. Not yet much used however because on windows you need Direct X 10 and Vista to enable it, even if the GPU supports it.

Anyone tested it on a machine with a GMA950? (Like the first gen macbook)

The only problem I've had with the gma x3100 is that the fitting screen will freeze the OS and you will have to do a hard reboot.

I'm getting 4-5 FPS flying around, maybe 12 if I'm in warp by my self. It's pretty much unplayable now, whereas I got around 12-15 FPS flying around in small gangs before.
