Originally by: Gekkegerrit Found a nasty problem with skill que.
Before server went down for Apocrypha deployment i stopped training advanced spaceship command V only one hour before it was completed. Did this to select long skill training for patch day.
About 1 hour after Apocrypha was online I put said skill in training que together with some other skills.
later I noticed advanced spaceship command was stuck at "completion imminent" and at level 0 :P
I pauzed trainig and selected something else logged of and on to check again. Now advanced spaceship command is at lvl 0 with 0 sp.
This issue was also in Apocrypha testing on Sisi, but few version later it was fixed. I hope not many people have this problem couse I can imagine its a headache to fix it.
relog and it should be restored to its right level --- i got this too last expansion patch day with gallente battleship 2 --- after a relog it righted itself

Originally by: H Lecter I do not know if this problem was reported in one of 17 pages - sorry I did not have time to read them all.
The lag yesterday evening was terrible. It's nice to have new shiny roids but it does not feel right when you warp to a belt and then see them pop up one by one. Locking a cruiser with my interceptor took me about 7 seconds. When fighting a Drake I saw his missiles hitting my ship and about 30 seconds later I was finally taking damage. To dock in a station with GCC you need a very well tanked ship in order not to pop in the time it takes to get your docking request accepted.
This lag is not related to my computer. The same problems were experienced by everyone in Ishomilken and surrounding systems yesterday. When fighting with less than 10 people on grid I would really love to have a lag free experience.
Did CCP forget to feed the hamsters while updating the server?
golden rule of patch day (happens every single patch day) 1. LAG --- due to the huge amount of people downloading the 1.3gb or 1.9gb files this chokes up CCP's outgoing bandwidth supplied by CCP's isp.... its like trying to empty new york city all out through 1 highway.....expect serious delays.... and cos a build of of data packets occurs those ingame also experience bad lag due to traffic congestion --- like trying to get across town when the streets are blocked up with other cars. the serious lag usually subsides when 95% of the players have sucessfully patch their client.
2. Hardware related Whinefesting --- this is a new branch of whinefest. ccp have been telling ye all that ye will need a shader model 2.0 capable card for a few months now. a half decent graphics card that can play eve costs less that $50 --- the only people i feel sorry for are laptop owners because their graphics chips cannot be upgraded and new laptops cost loads. (i am one of those laptop owners --- but my pc CAN run 3 eve acs at same time so i'll survive) -- perhaps ccp should reconsider introducing a laptop client version to allow those with older laptops log onto the station so they can at least set skills while they save up for a decent laptop or gcard. TO BE HONEST ccp timed this hardware upgrade requirement badly cos they did it at a time when a huge amount of players face months on the dole queue while the banking systems worldwide continue to force businesses to go under due to lack of business overdrafts and lending. Yes, I have dropped all settings to the lowest possible. Yes, I have tried switching between windowed and fullscreen modes. Yes, I have tried changing the "Present Interval". No, none of this has helped.
System specs: Core Duo T2600 2.16GHz 2GB DDR2-533 RAM Intel 945 chipset with integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics 120GB hard disk
I expected the game to be sluggish after installing Premium on my lappy, but I didn't expect it to be completely unplayable.

--same thing happens to me and i actually have to buy a new computer! Its a video card thing. Intel 82945g chipset series
its a programming bug not your hardware at fault.... it seems that too many people are getting alsorts of graphic related errors due to this buggy new graphics engine ccp have deployed. SIG: if my message has spelling errors its cos i fail at typing properly :P |
