I read in a Apocrpyha specific thread which is now locked that the DVD doesn't have Apocrpyha on it but rather the last build of QR.
If this is true I'd best start downloading the client rather than wait to purchase the disk.
Can someone please confirm this? |

The expansion was still being patched on the test server a few days ago, you don't think they could make thousands of CD's and then ship them to the stores in 2-3 days do you?

Yup, Atari received the version in Januray to burn. You will be buying QR and patching the 1.4GB Apoc

Thanks all, seemed impossible to get it out so quick, was hoping 
Well now I'll just download rather than purchase the disk.

Thanks for the insight about the Box Version. I personally think they should have waited awhile before releasing the Box Version, Because many, many people thought if they could just buy the box version it would save them time and bandwidth on updating. but i truly feel this was Total Failure in releasing an already active version of the game, and specially releasing it after Patch day. My Friend will send me a copy of all the patches since im unable to download it...

Well really the box set was for EVE and not Apocrypha specifically. I pretty sure if you went out and bought any another MMO you would have to patch right after installing it.

Yeah...2 gigs of patching from a torrent-based downloader isn't fun...good thing it was only for a private server
