I'm currently looking for a PvP corp however every half decent corp that i come across requires a min of 10 or around there mil SP. I only have 3.5mil SP so it seems not possible for me to find a decent corp yet.

One option is to join faction war npc corporations.
There are also plenty that will take you in, and train ya but you got to contact the recruiters and ask for an interview and discuss things.
The problem with SP rules is... that could be 9.8mil in industry/science skills and .2 mil in ship skills...
I's an alt... with a purpose and use! Other than as a forum alt. |

My advice to you is to write a well-written post explaining who you are and what you are looking for. Emphasis on the well-written here. Explain that you have low skill-points but that you're [mature|smart|funny|good-looking] and you're looking for [mature|smart|funny|good-looking] people to hang out with. See this guy.
Or, if you just care about pvp and don't care who the people are, join FW (as suggested already).
Often the skill-point limits are put in place to prevent spies from infiltrating with a low skill-point alt. By posting your own thread you're essentially saying "I don't care what corp I join as long as the people are good," and they'll be less afraid that you're a spy.
Other times its to make sure that you at least know how to play EVE. By explaining that you do, maybe you can get around this.
I posit that if there is a skill-point limit that is not at least a little fuzzy, you don't want to join that corporation or alliance anyway.

Hey Aaronm100, We will take a look at you no matter your sp. Although we need to have you fill out quite a detailed application just so we can learn a little more about you and your goals. Check us out... spam coming. Also, good luck finding the corp you are looking for.
Tides of Silence has over a hundred members, existing since August 2006, currently in Empire. We are extremely inclusive, taking players new to EVE up to players in excess of 40m SP. Our members come from all over the world; split about 50/50 between EU and NA timezones. We are taking full advantage of the new Wormhole Space with exploration, hunting Sleepers, resource gathering, production, and invention. We are developing our PvP skills in low-sec roams and run our own incentive-based corporation PvP tournaments. We understand that real life can get in the way and value having fun while playing more than anything else. We are looking for pilots with a good attitude to join a fun, mature corporation and we believe we have a place for everyone (with the exception of pirates!) If you are interested please join us in our help channel "Tides Help", post your application at http://www.eve-corps.net/forum , or eve-mail either Killshandra, ozz gonarun, or Eidolon Ra.

SP minimums are lame, it's your personality, commitment and activity etc that means more. Sure relying on numbers in a blob is nice and obviously the more skilled the more dps you can achieve but you wont learn much and being part of a community is what makes Eve fun. That's not to say bigger alliances are all like this (far from it) but you might feel you want a more integral part in something smaller.
Have a read here for details on us. It's a good place to learn and you aren't alone in doing so. We also can help you make the isk to fund the addiction.
