Edited by: Rhynn Izo on 10/03/2009 18:31:19 Having big Problems here when i try Bloom and HDR at the same time, the Asteroids are just all white and flickering (Setting shader to low or turning off HDR fixes the problem but everything looks awful then) 8800 GTS - Worked fine so far
Same problem already on Singularity

Edited by: Princess Jessica on 10/03/2009 19:11:30 I have the same problem with a GTX 285. I do have AA + HDR + bloom enabled though through nHancer. Makes the roid all flickery and white which is unpleasant for the eyes :p

Got a Workaround for Bloom and HDR
Changed the Anti Aliasing Compatiblity to "00000000: Allgemeine KompatibilitSt" seems to work now, experiment a bit with your Enchancer...

Edited by: Grez on 11/03/2009 06:31:46 Disable AA. It's not supported by EVE.
:::Bug report:::
Asteroids (and some other models) have white pixels over their models where edges intersect.
// Thank you for your bug report. Please keep in mind, that anti aliasing is not supported by EVE Online. There is no option in EVE Online to turn AA on. Turing it on in the driver is not supported and is known to cause issues. See http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=686575&page=5#149 - BH Sarahani
Originally by: CCP Tanis. After reading over this thread and looking into some of your bug reports it looks like there are two different issues being mentioned here:
1. the issue the OP posted about relating to 5000 series GeForce cards causing BSoD or other crashes
2. Folks with 8000 series GeForce cards are experiencing issues when AA is enabled.
I'd like to point out the following to clarify any misunderstandings:
EVE Premium does NOT support AA (Anti-Aliasing), there is no option to enable it in the premium client and enabling it on the card (driver) is known to cause issues.
AA support is planned for the future, but no specific details or dates are available about that yet.

Edited by: Xechor on 11/03/2009 07:44:29 Thread 1015213 is helpful somewhat. I'm aware it's "not supported" but at this point may not necessarily be asking CCP for help as much as I am anyone who can get it to work. If I crash exessively at gates, or anything nutso happens - I'll be happy to assume the responsibilities of that to lose a little bit of jaggies unless it's detrimental to every-day play :D
In the above mentioned thread they speak of supersampling as being rather effective. In CCC for ATi there's a feature for changing the "box", "narrow tent", and "wide tent" which seems to be this supersampling (multiplying x1, x2, and x3 respectively), however this doesn't seem to affect anything regarding the flickering. If anything it makes just makes the UI blurry, which is understandable. Both Standard and Advanced versions of Catalyst AI show this white flickery bug, too, but if it's disabled there's no AA whatsoever...
Thoughts?

I use an ATI 9250. Update your drivers from the manufacturer's website. The new look is stunning. You'll love it.

Box, Wide and Wide tent are superior to supersampling. Do a little research online for comparative examples. --- Have a rawr on me. |

Ah yeah - I am using the latest drivers (9.2) for my Visiontek 4870 X2. I'll have to delve more into supersampling then and the differences from box/narrow/wide tenting. I made that assumption based on the multiplication, so it's quit possibly a wrong one :D
Supersampling doesn't seem to be directly available unless it's named something silly in the CCC. I suppose I'll do some more research unless anyone has any tips.
