I have 3 accounts, 2 are active. I run my accounts from 4 differant computers. My main computer to use was recently purchased. Your new lite version just removed me from eve. None of my computers can run it. I can't upgrade, 3 of the comps too old and they aren't mine. My Main comp is a laptop and since I'm one of the unfortunate ones who have 3 kids, a house payment, and barely make it paycheck to paycheck, I'm flat broke with bad credit and got stuck with a RAC rental comp, paying 3 times as much over a 18 month period. They dont have better comps, and I dont have the cash to build one. So thank you all for good run in eve, enjoy the new graphics, I geuss I'm done.

sounds unfortunate for you.. can i have your stuff befor you realise that any $20 video card will run shade modeler 2.0?

Let me get this straight. Your problems are:
1. Flat broke
2. Bad credit
3. Three kids to support
4. Big mortgage
5. Can't run your three Eve accounts on your four computers?
Sounds like you've got bigger problems. But at least you have a job unlike 2.5 million Americans who just lost theirs.
The minimum spec increase was announced months ago. You can run the premium client in light with a junk video card out of my garbage. If any of your computers has an AGP slot you're good to go.

Or you could just update your motherboard's video drivers

Also, this. And if you had bad credit in the first place (Meaning you haven't been paying bills in time), then why the **** did you purchase a ridiculously expensive computer that sucks, while paying for an internet spaceships game?

I have a bit different queston - did CCP eliminate the Classic Graphics Version entirely after today's Apocrypha launch? I could not find it in the downloads' page.

Correct - there is only one client now.

A little clarification. I shouldn't even lower myself to defending myself but, what the *ell. First off, if your smart in eve, isk pays your accounts. Second, yes my only comp I owned is a laptop, and you can't change the vid card. But good news, like you care, thanks to good friends, I am getting out of the RAC deal via a new comp with a friend with credit. So in 3 days newegg shall deliver and then I can be happy gaming, and hunting all of you negative people in eve galaxy.

I had to go buy a new graphics card for my desktop, and now I will not be running multiple accounts because I can't upgrade my notebook's card. That really doesn't bother me; that's just keeping up with the times.
What does bother me about 86ing the classic client is the new graphics are butt ugly and there is horrible lag. The classic client ran better... period.

Finding the AGP card may be more difficult yes, but the are lots of AGP cards that support shader model above 1 and even 2, for example my commonly referenced 6600GT AGP 8x.

i was previously using a chaintech fx5200; while it was definitely thoughtful of my father to buy me a new pc to upgrade from my old 533mhz celeron/gf mx400/512mb ram to a 2.8g northwood/1g ram with a 1x pci-e slot, a 1x pci-e slot and a socket 478 mobo don't leave a lot of room for expansion
and now i am looking at spending another thousand dollars just to be able to play eve the way i could when classic still existed. offensive

Bingo. Exactly my card, with just a difference that mine is PCI-E.
Performing as well as classic did, may be even better. Depends on how eager i am to the quality of the picture.

Well but alot of people run extra clients on laptops... changing graphics card in laptop is imposible..

I got locked out of the game yesterday too, i have a 60 day skill in training now, waiting to get a brand new PC :)
Oh, and also, why does Evemon tell me that my attributes have all increased by about 15 each?

No offense, but time to drop EVE, drop your internet connection. There we go, you're now living a little less paycheck to paycheck, and the little less can now be added up month to month to help you dig your way out.

Time to find a new line of employment perhaps? I Live/Work in the US, making 130k a year at 22 years old and my employer has hired 4 new people in the last 2 months.
