You click repair all on a ship, this includes drones... you get charged for the repair. Launch ship, launch drones - the drones are still just as ragged as before you paid several thousand isk to have them repaired.
This has been broken for at least 10 months, possibly since release.
PLEASE can we have it fixed???? (I thought you did fix it briefly, but it seems it was a dream)

for those who might not know you have to repackage the drones after you repair them. this can be done in your drone bay while you are docked. _______________________________________________

Edited by: Tar om on 15/08/2004 10:09:30 I thought it was fixed too, but last time I repaired my drones without removing them from the drone bay the bug was back :(

Drone repair works fine. I just tested what was described here twice and both times, the drone came out fully repaired.
Heres what I did, if you can see any difference let me know:
1. Undocked with drone. 2. Launched drone. 3. Damaged drone to 50%. 4. Scooped drone. 5. Docked. 6. Picked current ship in repair service and then clicked on Repair All. 7. Undocked. 8. Launched drone. 9. Targeted drone and confirmed it was fully repaired.

M'kay.
It could be a random bug or have more to it than your simple test.
Because I had a single drone damaged, it required exactly 160 Isk to repair. (After the latest patch) I paid for the repair (and did nothing else to the drone at that time). Used my (7) drones once against an npc I already had down into armor dmg. Some days later (ran some other missions in between) I decided to check my ship equipment had 0 damage (I had gone down into armor and wasn't sure if any changes may have been made allowing damage through to modules yet or not). I found I had the same type of drone (1 of 4 out of 7 total drones) with exactly the same repair cost. Now the chances of that damage being new damage and exactly the same amount to the same type of drone from a single combat are probably not that high, considering how much damage I had already whacked him with and that he kept firing at me. This would make me think the bug has been reincarnated. I re-repaired the drone and repackaged it. Perhaps the simple solution would be to make it so that when a drone is repaired it is automatically repackaged in its current location (ie cargo or hangar).
Also since the last patch I have twice had my game sound stop after using drones (fault logged), but since have used my drones again without losing sound. This might or might not have been a new bug, even though I had never experienced this problem before.
Considering other bugs have had multiple causes, it's possible that this bug (drone repair) may have had multiple causes with the most obvious already fixed.

It seems, for me anyway, that repair to drones only "stick to em" if your ship needs repair as well, when you do the repair..
So: If your ship is damaged drone repair works. If your ship is not damaged, drone repair does not work..
------------- Most tired of thing atm: - Mods on the forum saying: "Please use the bug report page to submit bugs, the forum is not the place to post them." and then closing a topic. |

While the hint is appreciated, it is unfortunately not likely and not the case - when I tested it, my ship was not damaged and the drone repairs stuck. -- Richard CCP Programmer. Anything said above is not the official line, but my own take or opinion. |

My experience is that it is a random problem. I have noticed that when I fly my Megathron it never happens, but when I'm flying my Dominix it happens 2 out of 3 times I repair my drones.
This is a major bug, at least for me since I use drones alot. An with all the drone changes they take a lot more damage more often then they used to.
So with that said what can I do to help while logged onto TQ since the problem seems to be worse there then on Test? 2005.01.21 05:09:06combatYour Tachyon Beam Laser I perfectly strikes Blood Priest, wrecking for 533.1 damage. |

Here is what you can do. You can capture the bug in a logserver.exe file.
Run the logserver.exe properly. Go about your business on TQ. When you come across the bug, immediately save the log file. Then submit the bug report along with ship type, location, station, type of drones, etc.
Thanks - __________ Hurricane Bug Hunter Lead |

I never said it would work for everyone.. What I said was that this is how it seems to work for me...
Could it be its simply just the drone display window, thats bugged, and dont show the right stats on the drones.? ------------- Most tired of thing atm: - Mods on the forum saying: "Please use the bug report page to submit bugs, the forum is not the place to post them." and then closing a topic. |

Gang window seems to "hold" members from a previous gang session and the damage states are a bit wierd - shield levels moving from 0 to 100% rapidly or not updating at all.
It wouldn't surprise me if damage state of drones is reading incorrectly....

Yup. TBH I've never seen drone damage states shown correctly until you re-launch them. They'll usually die or be disabled without showing any damage to the drone, but if you scoop to drone bay and re-launch, then the damage is visible.
Haven't tested with NPCs for the last couple of patches I have to admit, and PvP experience isn't too helpful. Drones in PvP seems to be either lost or undamaged, little in-between.
