So just re-subed and WOW! Have you seen the prices of stuff now?
I was going to buy a GTC to buy a ship as i got nothing and then realised... wait a min, the GTC are selling for 900 mill thats cool, but wait! 900 mill really means about 500 mill when the market prices are taken into consideration.
Is CCPs real reason for manipulating the market by creating this inflation is to increase GTC sales? |

Hello. I remember CCP has said that they currently have tools to manipulate the PLEX market but have never used them. They only want to use them to counter any large-scale malicious player attempts to manipulate the PLEX market. At FanFest they said that if they eventually do use these tools, they will justify the usage to the CSM. |

Yes, if you play the day of the month you can net 1.1 billion from a GTC. Spending it now would be a waste. The market is an anarchists dream.
Though it's actually cheaper to fit right now than it has been in years. |

CCP aren't manipulating the markets, players with craploads of isk and/or influence are manipulating the markets for their own gain, nothing that doesn't happen in the real world, working as intended.
War hasn't been fought this badly since Olaf the Hairy, High Chief of all the Vikings, accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside. |

Dunno what you can fly but Command ships are cheaper than Tier 3 battleships and not much more than Tier 2. I use Damnations and Nighthawks because T2 Heavy launchers are dirt cheap as well. They have no zydrine or megacyte in them and very little morphite so they escaped the drone region nerf. |

It is unclear that decreasing the in game buying power of a GTC, will increase sales of GTCs.

Or do you really mean just the recent increase in mineral prices ?
In which case, was in your opinion the introduction of the drone regions followed then by the adjustment of insurance payouts a manipulation in the other direction ? And what would have that served back then ?

Not really that much around anymore, pretty busy with new job and RL obligations, very little time for EVE left, so haven't been following the latest developments all that closely.
My advice on what to do with your ISK ? You can always do something I did, large and very long term investments at low but decent flat interest rates to people you know from RL that still play EVE. And some leftover stocks from past investments which appreciated even further since :p
