You don't nee a new PC, just a new video card. You need a PCI video card from your local PC store. Just make sure it says it supports shader 2.0 or above.
Think yourself luck you don't have a laptop.

Edited by: Miles Apart on 10/03/2009 23:35:31 Edited by: Miles Apart on 10/03/2009 23:34:55 You might be out of luck trying to upgrade I'm afraid.
I did a quick check (was a Dell fan once lol) and it looks like the Dimension 2400 isnt capable of upgrading the graphics as it doesnt contain AGP or PCI-Express slots:

Not sure if you can still get PCI GFX cards and I would doubt any are up to SM2 spec - but might be worth a look?
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....
PS: I think the previous poster was referring to PCI-Express, not PCI when they said look for a PCI graphics cards

What about the classic graphic client, or whatever they call it? Maybe it will work?

Nah, thats precisely the issue here. CCP have dropped the classic client, in favour of Premium Lite. Premium Lite requires Shader Model 2, the OP graphics card only supports SM1.x.

They still make SM3 pci cards. For example, this one supports SM3:
