the 9250 does not support shader model 2 which is now required to run eve as the Classic client has been discontinued. To continue to play eve you will need a new card. Cards the meet the requirements can be found for under $50. There is no way around this.

Edited by: Zeek Muaka on 11/03/2009 01:32:36 Check sites like Newegg.com. They have alot of cheap cards for less than $50 USD.
The Nvidia 8400 will do just fine, infact I believe an 8400 can run Crysis (One of, if not the most graphically damanding game to date) on reasonable settings. You can probably pick one up for $30 somewhere.

you could start with one that was released in the last 4 years
why on earth would you build a new PC and put such an old graphics card in it? I bet you managed to save a whopping $10 doing that

do you remember what kind of card you had before? AGP, PCI or PCI-Express? If I had to guess based on what you stated here it was probably AGP and there are several links floating around these threads with links to cheap AGP cards. I'll see if I can find those links.
