You know, when the Achura bloodline came out, most of us older bloodline players went "well, it sucks, but it figures." We watched our Achura alts we got in that Power of Two you launched soon after RMR gain steadily on our mains for months, quietly ragefisting at the fact that they were making up a six-month-plus deficit in creation but still were on schedule to eventually overtake our mains.
When I heard that five points was the minimum, I figured it'd bring some parity to a skewed system (which I really didn't care that much about to begin with), but that everyone would at least be "equal" finally.
Today when I worked out a balanced spread for my Intaki main, this one I'm typing on right now, the best "balanced" set for Perc, Intel, and WP I could come up with was 25/24/25, with 13/19 in Char/Mem respectively. On my Achura, though, I can get 27/26/26 with 15/20. So that means my Achura is better in every way over my "older" Intaki character. Keep in mind this is before Learning V is factored in, too.
Why are older players being punished for being just that? This isn't a simple case of a "lost" two points, either - my Achura has a full FIVE point advantage (not nine, as the Achura has Presence IV to Kayl's III and is using +5s to Kayl's +4s since I'm deployed ATM) on my Intaki character across all skills post-remapping, and both are/were trained before the changes to the Advanced Learning prereqs, so each has V in each of the basic skills.
While I'm aware the "fix" for this would probably be a bit tedious for you to enact (resetting the counter for everyone who already remapped and setting the "floor" at three, but it's the right thing to do as it'd enable me and everyone else who rolled before RMR to get that "balanced" 27/26/26 spread in Perc, Intel, and WP. The even fairer thing to do would be to give us older characters the up-to-eight points we're missing, but even *I* know that's a tall order.
Seeing that this thread is in a forum that last had its last Dev response sometime back in 2006 or something, I doubt this'll be read by anyone else other than "hell yes I'd like more points" account-holders and post-RMR accounts who will post redundant "cry more, vet" troll replies. But still, it's an inequity we were told/hoping was going to be rectified finally by remapping. It hasn't been.
I'm not going to excessively hurf-blurf, emorage, or threaten a Threadnought about this, it's just sucky that anyone who created a character pre-RMR seems to be getting the shaft.

YEAH! it's bullcrap that some of us have to suffer, the veterans have to suffer, while all the noobs get to enjoy and be stupid. I do think the minimum should be 3, makes everyone happy, especially us older chars.

It will never happen so just give it up. 27/26/26 would cause players to train almost any skill in the game insanely fast. Thus, losing real money to players being disappointed by being able to go from noob to heavily-skilled Titan pilot in less than a year or two. Besides, redistributing 24 skill points is a little nuts. It is fine the way it is. Those that are Achura can either accept having 5 in Charisma or not reallocate attributes.

I thought I remember reading in one of the dev blogs that you can only redistribute 14 points anyway. I might be wrong though.

And yes, I'm fully aware Achuras HAVE to have a minimum of five charisma like everyone else. I'm just saying that if a base of three was good enough to begin with, a base of five shouldn't be necessary.

you know at some point in the future i wouldnt be suprised if CCP brings in something and does a forced respec and free incremental respec that doesnt reset your 1 year timer.. would love to see the face of other Achura's on that day...

Another thing I'm wondering about is if Learning V is registering after a remap. I should have more points registering because of Learning V on my Achura.
Also, under "skills," I have more blank spots than I should. I've got all basic learning skills to V except Empathy, all advanced learning skills to IV except Presence, and Learning V. At present I have three blank spots in Intelligence, Willpower, and Memory when I should have only one, I have three "black spots." The stranger thing still is that under Perception, I have four. Charisma has six empty spots when it should only have 2-3 if Learning V factors in.
I think something's possibly boned and Learning V might not be working. I'm hoping it's just a "have to wait until downtime thing so the API updates" thing and not something bigger.

get lost minimaxer. respeccing is supposed to help people with unbalanced stats, not let you train 3000 SP/Hr.
