Edited by: Kin Falo on 11/03/2009 00:28:10 Server was up at 15:45gmt, went in to the first wormhole I could find, in 0.0 in Providence.
Flying in my Megathron, I scanned down a sleeper garrison. Warped to 100km and died in 30 seconds :) I'm actually happy.. it was awe inspiring and I'm looking forward to the challenge of taking these guys down.
I heared stories that 7-Navy coalition sent a fleet of 20 battleships into a stronghold and got systematically taken apart in minutes...
Thanks CCP for giving us some more PvE endgame options :)

What did you expect, entering from 0.0 gets you to the sites that shouldn't be entered with sub-capital ships. Had such a site on Sisi yesterday, my faction fitted Nighthawk went down in few seconds when they all switched on me.
On TQ a guy from our militia found a entrance from a 0.8, the sites had 2 battleships, couple of cruisers and frigs in them. No warp scramble, no other EW, just gank&tank - was easy to do with 2-3 BC, should be easy to solo in a raven.

Edited by: Mawusi on 11/03/2009 02:09:08 So far the ones Ive encountered in 0.0 have been fairly easy, with the exception of 1 sleeper BS which took out a corp member with about 800-1600 hp damage per volley. There are certainly some sleepers that hit hard.....

Last I was told by a dev on SiSi was that it didn't matter from which system you entered a Wormhole,it could be an easy one,it could be hard.

That is true, but I believe there is a bias on difficulty, depending on the space you come through. Go through 0.0, you're more likely to find the hard stuff. Come from a 1.0 system and you're more likely to find the easy spawns. -------- Bender: Ahhh, what an awful dream. Ones and zeroes everywhere... and I thought I saw a two. Fry: Don't worry, Bender: there's no such thing as two. |

I lost my Cheetah to some Sleeper sentry guns. I have no idea how I lost cloak, but I pretty much insta-popped once I did.

no , makes no sense, either that or if that is so the loot from any empire sec wormhole better be utter crapola.

I lost 2 to the sleepers, but nothing expensive. The second, I warped to 100k to drop a probe, never got out. They were fast, and there was half a dozen plus sentry guns. Hole opened in Actee .5, only stayed open for a short time, maybe 20 trips in and out with nothing bigger than a bc. couldn't find any belts, lots of planets and moons though. i wonder if it would have closed with me still in there, I was last out and it closed within a minute of my leaving. Also, make sure you bm the wormhole on the inside, don't ask why.

o/ i got owned.
flew in with a bunch of corpies to explore our first wormhole. everyone was in a shuttle/pod, except for me...i flew down in my ishkur. thought i could speed or sig-tank anything for a few seconds till i warped out. nope. i warped in to one of the garrisons or whatever, dropped out of warp, saw the defense towers, 4 blue beams, and instapopped before i could even warp out. LOL
was worth it though =) w-space is beautiful.

Now see it's funny you should say that because I'm pretty sure I saw a file with a name along the lines of 'jovedrydockX17.whatsit' get updated in one of the patches...

Myrmidon/Arbitrator pair explored a wormhole from 0.7 in Khanid. Cleared six cosmic anomalies of frigs and cruisers. Was very fun.
Wormhole wouldn't take battleships.

corp formed up a fleet, they broke or drakes tank, but my domi had no problem at all holding full aggro on smaller instances.
one corp mate did decide to dock at a sleeper structure though, got booted out of his ship and they stole all his mods

Theres a lot of clouds and stuff in there that will decloak you as you warp in. You gotta pay close attention to that. My covops almost got popped as well and I warped out in 80% structure.

Chalk me up to getting owned by Sleepers. Was great!
Was getting late when I found my first WH so me and two buddies grabbed some throwaway ships (frigate hulls) and went in to have a peek.
Sleepers creamed one guy in no time flat. The other guy was able to warp in and out a lot but Sleepers were man-handling him everytime so he did not get much done (I was in the CovOps probing so no shooty for me...just watched). Freaking Sleepers were throwing everything and the kitchen sink at the guy (guns, missiles, a variety of ewar).
All-in-all great! And these were just a pile of frigs and a few cruisers. Looking forward to having a proper go soon.
I definitely recommend people repeat the mantra "do not fly what you cannot afford to lose" ten times in a row before going in there. Until you get a good sense for these guys it is all too easy for them to surprise you and lose your ship.

Amen to that!
Happened to me too.
Freaking Sleepers aggro *immediately* and waste no time coming after you and those frigs of theirs are FAST!
I was lucky that I noticed my lack of a cloak and immediately warped out. Left at 50% armor. Was in the Sleeper cell for maybe 10 seconds or so. -------------------------------------------------- "Of course," said my grandfather, pulling a gun from his belt as he stepped from the Time Machine, "there's no paradox if I shoot you!"

Edited by: Cyn''Estra on 11/03/2009 15:24:59 I've noticed this twice now where I've warped into W-space in my cov-ops to find my cloaks been deactivated, not noticed anything that would actually cause this even looking around several times
Bug or feature?
