I was thinking... if CCP moves Sov towards each alliance having a capital system, maybe they is room for a Capital docking station; a station not as advanced as a regular Outpost, only has the fitting window and repair ship. Limited space for your item and ship hangar, but does have corp hangars, and has a timer on undocking ships (only 1 cap can undock every 30 seconds or so)
Unlimited space for caps inside it, but have a very vulnerable docking subsystem (the same in respects to other targetable station services), about 1m HP's, allowing it to be incapped, stopping caps from undocking, but allowing pods and ships to undock.
Only allowed 1 per capital system, and can be laid in a system with an outpost/NPC station. If Capital flag is taken, then the station self destructs after the last cap is undocked. No caps can dock with it if the capital flag is taken down, but normal ships can to evacuate items and ships in hangars.
The object? Allowing capital pilots to safely undock from their caps to take part in subcap battles or anything really, for extended periods.
The cap station dock can be built from PI, and uses station component BPs, but needs a capital station dock BP to build it ofc.
Cost? At least quadrupal the cost of an Outpost.
Would love to see the ability to install guns on station for defence too, but only if the undock service was incapped. Otherwise, the station is impervious.

Agreed.
I do like the idea of a capital system. and maybe docking cap ships, but Im my mind I am thinking there should be a limitation of like 5. and if sov is taken over and the super caps are still in the station. The super cap/titan becomes the property of the alliance that took sov. So in essence the "safety" of the station really is only as safe as your alliances ability to hold the sov in that area. Would also give people more reason to take sov in these systems and take it as quickly as possible. and can force Super caps to come out and play when they don't want to. |

Did you miss the part where i said the station undocking proceedure would be a destructable station service? ANything inside when the undock service gets incapped means that no caps can undock |
