Black Ace signs his name....the jump effect is weak, the tunnel of doom was WICKED and with the new graphics update i dont really think the old effect should be brought back but a new similar suped up one should be made. Honestly how you guys could have made awesome new effects for things like the NOS yet ignore one of the most powerful sights in all of eve....like a cyno field and the capital warp tunnel of doom....i mean come ON. I know for a fact you guys didnt have time to create the effect but you could have at least kept the old one around until you were able to update it. This is a piece of eye candy i really think NEEDS to be brought back...

It's great that a new cyno animation is in the works, but the current one is complete crap. Just bring back the old one for now

Stupid bubble effect and a little "ploop" sound is pretty crappy. I loved watching caps cyno in before... all those flashes of light and tunnels and that deep booming sound that said "IM BIG AND IM COMING IN!"
Yeah, it was pretty cool. Bring that back.

For all of those people who are saying: "Bring the old one back while they worlk on the new one!"
You fail to realize they had to change ALL the effects due to shader model 2.0 being used instead of the old one. They probably all like the old effect just like we do but they did not have the time to adress it before they swapped over to the 2.0 shader.
I am betting the new one will look and sounds like the old one but with the new shader type of effects.

I recently just started using a carrier, and I must admit I'm not fond of the current cyno effect. It doesn't have the same awe factor as the old one imo, and I'm definitely for a new one.
The above post got me thinking about the winter expansion. Being focused on sovereignty and such, I think we'll get a new cyno effect to go along with the changes to sov, 0.0 politics/warfare, etc. I don't want to wait that long, but that's my guess.
/signed I guess (but we probably can't get the old one back because of the change in the effects); would be nice to have something better than a 2d bubble pop imo
