So I set my Skill Queue last night to burn out those Covert Ops & Astrometric (The Internets says that isn't a word! ) and I was worried yesterday that the horrible skill eating monster would attack my Queue yesterday but I've been safe so far
What I noticed this morning when looking over EveMon at work (That's obviously what I get paid to do!) was that all the skills that "Finished" from the queue over the night are at 99% with roughly 15-30 seconds left to completion. None of them have completed yet and I was wondering if this has occurred with other pilots out there or if its just a minor hiccup in the EveMon tracking. --------------

So I set up a lot of skill queues on my various alts that would take it into today (from last night). Then the server crashed (for a change), and I discover that the skills that finished shortly after the crash, and should have changed per the skill queue, didn't change.
This feature's working a treat. ------------------------

Edited by: Tzar''rim on 13/03/2009 13:20:20 Had a skill that was due to end during the server crash/reboot last night, I had put another skill in queue. When I could login again the first skills finished (ofcourse) and the one in queue had already started as it should, during the DT. So it seems skillqueueing is quite robust, you shouldn't trust evemon in this respect.

Yeah. According to EveMon the skills I set up for queue are still chuggin along as planned. I was just a little concerned by how all the ones from last night are stuck at 99% on EveMon. I'm sure when the program gets updated to support the Expansion 100% it'll be fine. --------------

with the exception of one awesome bug i found but couldn't replicate, the skill queue is a near perfect implementation. genuinely useful addition to eve.
evemon seems to be taking it in it's stride too, so it sounds like the API is still pumping out sensible data.

Surprisingly, it's given me precisely zero problems.

This happened to me. I clicked the refresh dial and it all updated correctly. --------------------------------------

Evemon skills, and skills in queue, are updating no trouble for me.
However, the Evemon estimated finish time for some long skills is way off what it actually is in-game...? EG, Ammarr Frigate Lv5 indicates 10 days evemon, when eve suggests 5 days...

Did you manually update your implants in EveMon? They took implants out of the EVE API. --------------

Thanks Ginako. I did use the manual implant groups bit previously, just went there and checked, clicked ok, and everythings updated to the proper times!

Edited by: Morlar on 13/03/2009 14:07:55 Yesterday, Evemon reported some crazy things (since I also get paid to monitor it at work all day as well) but when I got home, the stuff I had queued had trained perfectly and my long skill was chugging along right on time.
I suspect the API has been flaking out a touch...if it feeds Evemon garbage, we're gonna see garbage.

Good to hear it was all clear for you when you got home. It's likely mine will be fine too. I suspect its just compatibility issues since this is the biggest change EveMon has had to contend with since its release. --------------

Yeah, I was freaking out a bit, since other people had been posting about losing skill points from the Q and I figured I'd need to restart Electronic Upgrades 5.
All is well, though.

My Evemon also says some weird things. Like a skill that was in the queue last night is now at 100% but with 11 seconds to go been like that all morning and afternoon. Oh well at least it says that the other skills started as they should have. So I expect no problems when I get home from work. ----------------------------------------- Quitters never win and winners never quit |

The only problem I've ever had with it is one time I paused it and then it wouldn't let me restart...claimed I had another char with skill training going on. Of course, I didn't.
Great addition to the game.

I have noticed by checking the History tab on the skill page ingame that when queueing skills they dont officially get finished one by one, but are in fact all finished at the same time. and that is when you logg in.
So basicly just log in and you will get a little pop-up saying "x number skills completed" and your worries can pass.

I've noticed no problems with the skill queue. I have noticed many many problems with Evemon. It does not handle the skill queue well at all.

Oooh okay so EVE is basically taking all the skills I've queue'd up and put them into a little cake until I log in then it throws the cake at me and yells "Surprise!!!" --------------

Well, not for me at least. I've seen a skill finishing in EveMon and another starting right after it, from the queue. Kinda cool actually. I was not expecting that but rather something like what you mention. ----
