With the addition of wormholes, everybody and their mother are probing in high sec. Fortunately only us experienced explorers have the skills to run most of the plexes found... for now. So CCP also added a bunch more sites to cover the new influx of probe-vomiting herons etc.
In my opinion it won't be long until 20,000 players are fighting over the same bunch of sites. So spread the word... High Sec exploration is not worth the time or effort or the cost of the probes. Stick to just hunting wormholes.
The only solution I see to this is... oh wait.. I'm not telling you lot :) |

The solution is to be in a Stealth Bomber just on the other side of the WH waiting to pop the Heron as it jumps in.

I wasn't speaking of probing in wormhole space but yes good idea.
NEWSFLASH to new probers: All high sec wormhole entrances now have stealth bombers waiting to pop you as soon as you enter the wormhole. |

God! CCP should have random exits on wormholes. The games sucks enough already when it comes to getting into space that's actually valuable. DOuchebag gate campers.

Wormholes are the equivalent of 0.0, CCP always said they were dangerous.
If it scares you, don't do it. Otherwise, use a little common sense and you'll do just fine.
Oh wait... what am I saying? Wormholes are dangerous, don't do them. More for us experiences explorers :) |

That's lame. So your real complaint is that now that probing is a skill required to get to w-space, people who didn't do it before are hopping into your normal deadspace plexes and cleaning them before you can get there? Boo-freaking hoo. I imagine the miners in hisec feel that way regularly as noobs try their hands at a bit of strip mining and clear out the veld belts sooner than before. Since there are only about 35k players online most times (at least when I've been logging on) that still leaves you lots of regular PvE time, and if you really want, disappear into w-space and do those complexes.
That evil CCP - they are making more of the game more accessible to more players. How lame of them...

I have a feeling that many people will explore a lot for a few weeks and then go back to level four missions or whatever they normally do. The new probing system, while more intuitive, interesting and fun is still not something that can be done effectively without practice. I'm not sure most of the people trying probing for the first time now are going to stick with it.

What he said...
Haha I like this guy. This was not a whine thread coz it was written after 4 covops ships jumped into the same radar site i'd just cleared and was salvaging the battleship wrecks from. It was a "quick tell people exploration isn't profitable coz I WANT MORE STUFFZ" thread. Exploration always was a race to the site in high sec. That I can handle due to having the skills that the guys new to it don't have yet.
I also agree with the other post saying a lot of new probers will not continue after the first few weeks.
Next, if you want to sit there and flame then go post in C&P or CAOD. They're always calling out for more forum spam.
Finally. I forgot what I was going to say so screw it. |
