this could be a device that when activated increases the life span of a wormhole by 20% per level with the t2 device adding 125% life span (but requiring lvl 5)
the skill required to use this device could be called wormhole theory SIG: if my message has spelling errors its cos i fail at typing properly :P |

nice idea, I like it, it could be some kind of module that you anchor on both sides of the wormhole in order to keep it stable longer.

Could be a nice moneysink by making them anchorable and one use only. Add more types, too, for less effective mass for each ship passing through (though max restriction still apply) and the opposite, reduce lifespan and increase effective mass. Only one can be anchored at a time at any wormhole no matter the side. -------- Ideas for: Mining

no, has to be an actual heavy interdictor ship keeping it open

these ideas could work and would allow of cap ships to go into wh space for seriously tough sleeper cap ship battles SIG: if my message has spelling errors its cos i fail at typing properly :P |

No.
Any stabalization of wormholes will pave the way for alliance take-over and ownership of the unexplored systems. It's a bad idea and it will get worse - slippery slope and all that... ~ Santiago Fahahrri Galactic Geographic |

alliances could not take over as the wormholes would still collapse and pos's will not be anchorable in wh space
the device i proposed would simply double its life span SIG: if my message has spelling errors its cos i fail at typing properly :P |

POSes are already anchorable in WH space.
And right now, one of the biggest dangers of wormhole space is that the wormhole can collapse behind you and you'll have to find a new way out. Your idea would basically remove that.

I look at the other end of the scale, since these are unstable by default, I should be able to collapse these if I were to say, anchor a Warp bubble on the entry point. On the other hand, if you had a remote warp stab device it could stabalize the wormhole as long as you chose to spend the cap and time (possibly fuel) to hold it longer. this device could also be used to counter a dictor scram for the targeted ship but only *****ble by hic's.

I thought at first this was a good idea, but it's not really worth it.
Currently we have wormhole destabilizers, and they are called space ships. If you want a wormhole to collapse, simply go through it repeatedly - you'll soon cause it to collapse. We also in a way have stabilizers: don't go through until you're sure and reduce the number of trips made - and keep your wormhole locations private.
