Hey,
I just did some calcs to try to figure out what will be the most important salvage components:
I analyzed the requirements for 1 hull and 1 of each subsystem. The subsystems use about 10 times less parts than the hulls.
Loki:
Central System Controller x1 Defensive Control Node x1 Emergent Combat Intellegence x1 Jump Drive Control Nexus x1 Thermoelectric Catalysts x1
Modified Fluid Router x284 Electromechanical Hull Sheetingx268 Melted Nanoribbons x40 Neurovisual Input Matrix x52 Powdered C-540 Graphitex90
Fused Nanomechanical Engines x1 Heuristic Selfassemblers x1 Resonance Calibration Matrix x1 Emergent Combat Analyser x1
Tritanium x1320 Pyeritex912 Mexallon x240 Isogen x338 Nocxiumx350 Zydrinex234 Megacyte x200
Fullerites: c28 x67 c32 x742 c320 x675 c50 x606 c540 x250 c60 x286 c70 x319 c72 x238 c84 x292
Ill do some pricing at the current rediculous prices on market.. this of course doesnt include datacores, BPCs and relics. I hope it helps people understand how much it takes to build.

just checked the local market in Metropolis. Everything except the Fullerines are available.
Total price of salvage and minerals is over 300mil, plus production costs. Ill speculate that the production costs are going to outweigh the material costs by a substantial amount.
Once people stop trying to sell one unit of gas for 4mil isk we could consider it a possibility :D

Very cool. Was wanting to know how much salvage was needed to build a tech 3 cruiser.

Is that all? I proberbly have that already and i've not really been making a concerted effort to farm yet. Only thing im lacking (bar bpcs, datacores etc) is some of the gas.

Gasses are generally down to 100k in Jita already

just remember you have to react the gasses with the minerals and that only works in even multiples of 100 or more on the gasses.

Is that actually "salvage" or just loot from Sleepers?

The ones listed under "orange salvage components" are normal salvage at least. I have gotten those from frig/cruiser size sleepers.

Yea, the orange stuff seems to come from any sleeper. The blue ones so far I have only gotten from intermediate sleeper cruisers so far.

Pyramid shape usually means artifact, those might come from w-space Archaeology sites.

Are the material requirements for each subsystem type the same within a given race? across races?

I'm waiting to see what salvage the T3 cruisers give off,
Plus the tears
But thanks for the list

Actually we have found some of these are either loot/salvage (i didnt notice we had it until after the encounter)
The Arch sites yield items starting with Wrecked. Malfunctioning, Intact
Im putting together all the info from our expeditions, including what type of salvage drops where, the spawns and their triggers, ect.
Im sure someone has already done this but oh well.

We have found all of the types within Basic sleeper space. Its pretty rare to see the "pyramid" items drop but the BS seem to drop one of the "blue salvage" almost every time.

Im pretty sure its all the same. All the subsystems of a given type need the same amount. I have this is a spreadsheet if anyone wants to have a look EVE-mail me with your email address.

All that salvage, of all 3 categories, can be salvaged from "easy" Perimeter-type wormholes.

Can anyone here define the realities of the reverse engineering parts solution to the Build proceess, from the expedition poitn of view>>
Meaning how hard is it to find Mag and radar sites in W space to loot for needed parts??
As well the higher end gases??
So far Ive scanned out 3 W holes and found nothing but Gav and a few Ladar gas sites

Having completely scanned down three wormhole systems I've found one magnetometric in each, usually amongst the last signals that I track down. I found two perimeter sites and one frontier. One of the perimeters I didn't even get to attempt due to downtime apparently collapsing the wormhole just after I found it.
Perimeter magnetometric sites appear to be soloable, but the despawn trigger is killing one (the last frigate?) of the last wave of rats so if you warp out on the last wave the site may despawn even if you haven't touched a can. Be aware that you will face spawns of four frigates and four cruisers or eight frigates and a battleship. They don't warp inhibit but they do webify some iirc.
The frontier magnetometric site was too hard for me to solo. The first wave of six frigates and three cruisers remote repped more than my drone dps (dominix) and eventually broke my tank. I pushed one of the frigates into structure one time. However a more skilled dominix pilot would have a shot and I might have another go after fitting for more dps. They don't warp inhibit (or at least the ones that I faced didn't) but the frigates do micro-warp drive to you and webify crazily.
