Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with the skill queue not kicking in?
I petitioned this last thursday and still waiting on an answer.
Yes the current skill had less than 24 hours to run and yes i did click apply, strange thing is the windows gaget thing picked up that the new skill had kicked it and was training but when i enter eve the old skill had stopped and no new skill had started.
Running windows vista and have had this problem on my 2 char's

I've not had problems, after i managed to realise the "tick this box to set long skill as last" thing 
After that, it's been the greatest invention of EVE in decades.

I have the same problem, set up a few skills to run in the queue, spammed the apply button and closed eve.
Come home today to see in evemon that i had the skill training, logged into EVE and nothing.
Anyway, don't you just hate it when your reading a signature that looks like its part of the post! |

Hey, I just messed with the queue for a good ten minutes trying to find the issue. I think I have an answer for you.
When the queue window is in the proper position it will hide a conformation window behind itself.
I made changes to the queue while it was running and my skills stopped ticking down the time properly. I then spammed apply to no avail. After clearing the queue so I could refill it and restart it I closed the window and found this conformation box asking me if I wanted to save the changes I made, hidden perfectly out of sight behind the queue window.

Hate to disagree with you Sherifif Jones, but the greatest invention of EVE is not the skillque, but the ability to store ship settings! 
When it comes to the skill queue, and whether it works or not... I have been running skillqueue on my new account I got with the new EVE online box I bought, (Bad CCP! They made me invest in another account!  ) and it have been working nicely for me so far..

I used the skill queue up until recently without question (worked faultlessly until recently including two weeks Sisi testing).
After setting skills to change overnight. Next morning, my Vista toolbar gadget was showing the next skill training as expected but when I logged into Eve nothing was training  
Now I only use skill queue when online, offline I'm back to training long skills, I don't trust the skill queue!
PS. I do hit apply, also I have the 'do you want to save changes' checkbox enabled, so I cant close skill queue without confirming changes.

Oh, yes, that and the whole effective HP etc etc add-ons, yes, most droolably delicious 
I just like the queue because finally i can train small skills that i've left unattended for way too long.

Just to add that I just lost a night of skill training too.
Science 5 ----> Drone durability 4 (partially trained already)
It just didn't swap them. I checked the queue before I logged too.

ok well glad to know its not just me, i guess if other ppl are having the same problem CCP will fix it eventually

A workaround that I have been using is to pause training then stack up the skills I want to train then hit apply then pause then apply again. No moar issues. Kinda like how you used to have to control drones.

Strange, i cant find that check box you are talking about anywhere, also tried to move the window around after hitting apply and could not find anything behind it neither. My problem is the same as others, i set a skill for over night, apply, log off. Next day evemon reports correct skill being trained, but after i log in to add new skill to it.. i get a "nothing is being trained" or whatever it is.
so for me now is all back to manual and late night skill changing. what a shame. Hope they fix it soon.

i have to open the planner and hit apply again every time i open the character screen or it will stop training after the first skill in line has finished.
other than that it works great for me!

/confirm its not working
/confirm logoff with skills queued, click apply three times, verify all checkboxes, perform vodoo ritual, log back on next day to see empty queue and no skill in training
/frustrate about missing training
/endure while waiting for petitions to sort it out on two different accounts where it happened :(
/stress importance of fixing bugs and making things work
/understand new patches with many new features always introduce some bugs and that's life

I have yet to see the skill queue actually work, and yes, I'm spamming that darned Apply button like there is no tomorrow. Three skills queued, three absolute failures to actually queue them.
Arg, the bugs, I'm not using the POS queue until it's farking fixed.
