Old eve behavior: When windowed it would show in the background behind another window that had focus. IE other windows could become the topmost window
Current eve behavior: Noneve windows can get keyboard/mouse focus but they wont draw over eve. Eve is always in the foreground even windowed.
This is pretty annoying and I need to know what i did[edit: no i dont. this behavior wont survive a cache clearing] .
In the middle I was goofing with eve display settings and I did cause it to a wierd thing where it was the size of the login window when windowed. Changing the screen resolution and bringing it to fullscreen and back fixed that however thats exactly when this behavior began.
I tried turning off and on the machine but it wont go away =/ Hmm i suppose clearing my catch should fix it. Off i go.
I mentioned it to a corpy and he said he got the same thing while playing with his display settings. He recognized it right away when i called it "Eves acting like an "always on top" window"

I used my nvidia desktop manager to clear this problem: I found for some reason my new nvidia drivers were making the game "always on top" ... when in windowed mode I select the title bar, right click on it and see nvidia options, scroll over and unselect always on top.
Originally, I used nvidia desktop manager to select my other windows and FORCE them on top .... little did I know I was fighting the very thing that was doing it.
Hope this helps...

Happens when you switch from Full Screen to Windowed mode, since the last patch. My fix is to log off and back on, keeping it in windowed mode.
Full screen = eventual need to relog.

you can minimize it while in windowed mode. Not what u wanted but this works. Ya think eve did something to force ontop.

Mynobe Soletae is right. I had it happen when I accidentially pressed Alt+Enter. This key combonation will switch between windowed and full-screen mode.

Changing to Windowed mode from Fullscreen mode in the character select screen is the reason for it.
