Has anyone noticed that whoever brings the biggest group to a wormhole will do the best? Whether it be camping wormhole exits with huge blobs for PvP or doing your plexes with a huge group of ships so you won't get trashed by a PvP blob, there is no reason not to bring a huge gang if you're able. And increasingly, bringing small, focused gangs is becoming unsound.
So should CCP ration the mass allowances of wormholes more aggressively, or make the Sleepers 'adjust' to blobs to even things out, or do we want another dimension of blobbing?

Yeah, the 0.0 in a wormhole is so much different to real 0.0 space... Don't jump into wormholes if you can't solve them. Get a scout and you're fine. I don't see the problem.

By your reasoning, most wormholes would probably go like this.
Scout wormhole. See 20+ ship gang on scan. Leave.

Yeah, I've been scanning out wormholes since the patch, and out of the 15 or so W-h systems I've gone into, the biggest "blob" I encountered was 6 ships. I promptly engaged those 6 ships (with three of us) and killed one before the rest warped out.
Super scary. Other than that, I've been in system 2 other times when there has been visitors other than myself. And in these cases I see covert ops and scan probes.
SCARY!!1!

The "Blob" term sucks ass.
Yes, if you have more friends, your fleet will fight better. What the hell is wrong with this?

Just like CCP wanted. They wanted PVE to be more like PVP. Success!

Since when is 15 ships a blob?
Your reasoning of whoever brings the biggest gang will do the best is totally innacurate. I have had more sucess in my small gang of 4-5 in our wormhole than any of the larger gangs that have come in. We are tanked correctly for the type of wormhole it is, and the larger random hodgepodge battlestar gallactica fleets that come in get totally wasted by the sleepers and cant even bother us.
Also, if a gang is willing to jump 15+ ships into a wormhole, they are also accepting that they might a) be stuck in there for a good ammount of time and b) might be only able to leave in hostile space deep in 0.0, or risk being stuck in w-space longer.
working as intended

This. The limitations for unorganised blob gangs are far bigger than for a well organized smaller gang (which usually still pwns the standard blob in 9 out of 10 times)

tactically, that makes sense. are you taking your 5-man gang in anyway and wondering why you get a free ride on the clone express?
if you're outnumbered and out gunned, of course you're not going to choose a fight.
you could jump a few mammoths through the portal and force it to close on the campers, though :P
Of course, with the PvE side of things, this is, as stated by many, not true, good organisation can easily result in better results than throwing more ships at the problem.
Of course, you could wait for the large disorganised group to engage a sleeper fleet, then attack them, let the sleepers do the work for you then mop up the remaining NPCs.

Yeah, all other things being equal the biggest navy wins. Just like in real life.
I haven't seen more then two ships on my scanner yet, though. Where are you finding these blobs?

Take a history class and learn how untrue that is. Good players can prob do that, bad plaeys with more ships usually = more salvage for their enemies to get. --------------------------- Your neighborhood sociopath. |

Actually I warped into a w-space system, and it had a black hole that caused 9 to be greater than 10. It was pretty cool.
