Ok. I see guy on Range scanner. I see him in local. Where is he in the system? How to find someone there? Check all objects? That would surely take long to warp to each moon, planet, base etc etc.

Edited by: Gift on 17/08/2004 04:02:37 people out in space will typically be at a belt or a spawn so heres what i do: 1. if there is a spawn in the sytem that you know of, check it (if they're not there) 2. look at your drop down and see which planets has the most belts 3. go to that planet 4. scan at range, start at about 10000 and just add a zero everytime you scan unsuccessfully. pay attention if to what belts come up and note which belts he is not at until he pops up in a scan. 5. ussually it will only be 1 or 2 possible belts, you can check them manually at that point of scan directionally. 6. If he does not show up by the time you can see all the blets for that planet move to the planet with the next most belt & try again.
this is a fast way for those of us that are not that good at scanning to put it to use. Though some folks out there seem to be able to find anything anywhere, hell if i know how they do it hope it helped

a really hard thing is learning to use the directioanal scanner, when i finnally figured it out i managed to find a beaconless secret sanshas base in providence that had no warp points closer then 1000km

Thanks that helped. But still isn't there easier way? I have to ask same in Crime & Punishment. Maybe the pirates would know. Thanks!
