Funny then how I can have stretched lobes in my current office.
Strange too how I regularly wore my septum ring into the office whilst working in the offices of a well known insurance company and a large UK broadcasting company.
Professional positions too, not mickey mouse jobs.
People should learn to be a bit more tolerant of people and differences and there might be a lot less anger and strife in the world.

The unfortunate truth is it does not come off as professional. Professionalism is a requirement for a lot of businesses. It's really quite plain and simple (not saying I have anything against people with gauged ears, its just that clients might, and let's be honest: clients are always right.
