Well if you didn't have the Intel graphics, I'd say that it should be capable of running the premium client with details turned off.
As it stands, I'm doubtful, but the only way you'll know is by trying it out. Nothing to lose -----

How about this one then?

Thats a great computer for EvE. People are starting to realize buying the best available is a waste of money when computer ladders double every year.

That will work fine, apart from the GPU it's actually faster than my desktop and the 3470 is not that much slower than my 3950. But anything with an Intel GMA is fail for gaming.

My configuration is similar and I cannot play EVE-ONLINE because FSP drops by 80%+ the second you click on "WARP TO". There is something wrong with the Shader 3 models introduced with Apocrypha. They essentially crush laptop GPUs under their boots. I've talked to many laptop users and the problem seems to be persistent.
EDIT: I simply won't advise anyone to hope for a playable EVE-Online on any laptop right now.

Ati website says its shader model 4.1 though for this card/onboard?

Intel graphics cards aren't made by ati so you may want to check that.

He was talking about the laptop he is planning on buying (he was not referring to his Original Post).
Rethie, mate, my card supports 3.0 and it's still unplayable.
I sincerely pitty all the guys that are planning on buying a SM 2.0 card-fitted computer/laptop because they can no longer run Classic. They will be utterly enraged when they find themselves with lighter wallets and a continuously unplayable game.

I do not agree. I have played (and beaten) Fallout 3 without much tech-hassle and with decent graphics on my mid-2007 900 Ç laptop I have played EVE on Premium with ~80 FPS up until Apocrypha. I now run EVE on Premium on HIGH Shaders and Textures at 100+ FPS
The problem is that EVE is currently simply not graphically-optimized for ANY laptop.
I read about all kinds of glitches, crashes and assorted GPU-related performance-killer problems all the time on this very board.

Of course it will work... some machines will need the settings cranked down a little for better fps, but most modern machines not too bad.
If you run broken shader 2 (gf fx5xxx) then you have trouble... real shader 2 or shader 3, then you fine...
I practically run eve on a toaster for the alt.

EVE runs just fine* with full detail on my Medion 96970 laptop which has a nVidia GeForce 9300M G or some such goofiness - it's a video chipset with 128MB of dedicated texture memory, but borrows from system RAM once the onboard has been used up. I can run two client just fine* if I turn all detail levels down.
My MacBook has an Intel GMA 950, it's sufficient for switching skills - but once EVE has been running for a couple of minutes the system gets rather hot. I have taken EVE off my MacBook to prevent me accidentally frying the poor thing.
*"just fine" being defined as 7fps, which is sufficient for running missions and mining

EvE runs on my EEE 1000H better than Classic did with all the graphics settings on their lowest levels, and it's spec'd lower than yours (same RAM, 945GM Mobile Intel craptastic graphics, Atom CPU @ 2.16 GhZ)
You should be fine, just download it and give it a go. Don't expect amazing performance out of it but for basic stuff it should work, if you do any heavy duty combat just zoom all the way out if your FPS drops unacceptably.

I'm running on the near the same specs (2.4 dual, 4G ram, ATI 2400HD) and i haven't had a single problem with FPS etc in eve. Taken part in fleet ops and the such without issue. Its odd considering your GPU outclasses mine
