Can someone help please?
I succesfully scaned a cozmic thingi....type was described as a rogue drone asteroid infestation....
...warped there and nothing no WH no drone infestation.
rescanned whilst i was there and said it was still there.
What should i have found? drones or a WH?
What should I be looking for when i get there, i.e. what does a WH look like?

it looks like a space-pimple. however it behaves like a stargate.

A "Rogue Drone Asteroid Infestation" is a complex. You should have found rogue drones to kill at that particular site, unless somebody else already found it and shot them all.
Space pimple is an apt description. It looks similar to the new stargate jump effect bubble with a dark cloud around it, and it just stays there.

You need to take your probes one level lower. Likely scan deviation was too high and you didn't end up close enough.

BTW, what you found was a rogue drone infestation plex, not a wormhole. There are many things you can find with probes other than wormholes.

Either scan again, or take the probes down another step (not possible if at 0.25) and run the scan again.
Also, an unstable wormhole shows up as Type: Unknown | Details: Unstable wormhole
Though, in hindsight; I really should put in some sort of spacer between my post and signature |

Four probes, .25au, one at a different height = Never have accuracy issues again.

Not worth a new thread so I'll hijack this one lol...
Has anyone got ship scanning down to a duration where it will actually be useful. For me the changes have not made ships at SS any easier to acquire, especially as ppl tend to mwd away from warp in or move SS all the time ?

Not really, take it as a losec/0.0 PvP boost but a W-space buff. (sort of a moot point as this came in with w-space but bear with me)
If W-space worked on the mechanic of "warp to celestial/BM, Drop probe, scan, destroy probe, repeat" then there would be a higher chance of being found on the d-scanner as opposed to "jump in, decloak, launch 4 probes, cloak, arrange, probe, ????????, profit"

Ship scanning took a hit. However, one of the dev blogs mentioned that they plan to revisit ship scanning after we've all had time to get used to the new mechanics.
