Some friends and I setup a POS in a "dangerous unknown space" WH on day two of the patch. There were 5 anomaly sites (like single stage complexes for those not familiar to WH space yet), and what seemed to be an even split between Ladar sites (gas clouds) and Grav sites (roids). Since the anomalies could be done with about 5 people, this place seemed like a good fit.
Man am I starting to regret that choice.
For starters, we are down to 2 anomalies, they just don't seem to want to respawn.
Secondly, despite the anomalies being "Core" with "advanced" (description of wrecks) bs rats, the sites we scan down are almost always "Perimeter" or "Frontier". What gives? (from what I understand so far, difficulty ranking is Perimeter -> Frontier -> Core -> ??? Let me know if there is something beyond this)
Thirdly, and most annoyingly, there are a ton of roid sites now, which I don't even understand their existence. Do we really need more places to mine kernite? The high ends are few and far between, and I say again, do we need more places to mine ark?
When setting up this POS the last thing I thought I would be struggling for is content. At the moment I am stuck with roid sites and WH to crappier WH space that BS's can't even go into. Ugh.
I am curious what others have experienced.

Perhaps even though setting up a POS in wormhole space is possible, it wasn't the intended game design? Popping in and out of them seems to be more efficient than staying in them from several angles. I can't say I've run into one yet that had a dearth of things to kill, but I've been in a different one every day, sometimes more than one per day...

Sounds like a good place to live in for me.

Well yes and no. For example, someone finds my particular WH space and they go in with their corp and clear it out. Then it opens up somewhere else the next day, but nothing has respawned? That would suck for whoever finds it that day.

I suppose, but that's no different than normal space. It's common to find systems with nothing in them...

Right, but shouldn't it be different from normal space.

I reported this on Sisi a few days ago and no response from Devs. In the last 10 days, only one sleeper site has spawned after my POS was brought online (e.g. went from 8 sleeper sites to none for days, then 1 currently).
Devs?

Edited by: Animka on 17/03/2009 01:22:35 I had spend 12 hours in WH with anomalies of medium difficulty, cleaning them up. Made 430 mil in Sleepers "tags" and 15 mil in salvage parts.
Now imagine, this anomalies would respawn after every downtime. Free isk printing machine with almost no risk.

What were you clearing them with? Were you alone? Were you dual accounting?
Also that is only 35M an hour. A miner in descent 0.0 easily clears that.

No risk? As in "no risk because you were part of a large, kicking sleeper-arse fleet" or "no risk because you were lucky enough to avoid throngs of gankers in W-space"?
Might be the difference between K-space entrypoints (I enter in mostly .4 to .8 systems)?
Would love to hear more about your experiences and compare notes.
