I was reading about a suggestion to change the Locking Blueprints to role based, the problem with this is if you then put it to a specific role to then deny the CEO access or one of the other directors all they need to do is then give themselves the role to access the BPOs etc,
My suggestion is that once at least 1 person has a specific role, all the other members who have that role vote on whether to allow someone else to get that role (mass role assignment on setup excluded) So the suggestion, For 72 hours after Corp creation - roles can be assigned and changed freely. After 72 hours as long as there is at least 1 member in a specific role, (Starbase Defence, Equipment Manager) The existing members in the role get to vote if someone else gets that role - So, James Kirk has Starbase Defence Role, The CEO wants to put Spock in the Starbase Defence Role, James has to vote yes.
James has voted yes, so now both of them are Starbase Defence. CEO now wants to give Scotty access so both James and Spock have to vote.
CEO removes James from the role - no vote needed here as removal of roles may be needed instantly to protect the corp
CEO then removes Scotty and Spock as he thinks with no people in the role he can waltz in and get the role with no vote. The role is locked out for 72 hours and anyone who had the role within the last 72 hours can initiate a shareholder vote to counteract the role removal - This adds a step of protection, after 72 hours if there is no shareholder vote raised, then the role is unlocked and the CEO can assign himself.
however if Scotty and Spock either can raise a shareholder vote, which if successful restores the roles to the 2 members (James was removed more than 72 hours previously)
It means that the CEO cant walk all over the members and It means that just because someone has sweet talked/bribed the CEO that doesnt mean they instantly get access to the POS as all the officers with POS access have to agree to allow this person in. |

I am good friends with the CEO of a bakery, so my access to Roles is assured. |

Bad idea. Sounds like someone wants to run the show without being responsible for bad ratings. :) |

Does anyone actually use the share system in eve? They are something for a CEO to withdraw immediately from the corp wallet and forget about. |
