I set a couple skills in my queue last night so I wouldn't run out in the middle of the night. All day I have been working at my desk, secure in knowing that the second skill I set to train will last for several days. I even says so in my OSX dashboard skill monitor.
Then I log in to test something for a new player I brought into the eve world (I was actually playing Travian, mentioned the awesome BoB excitement and the bank scams of the last few months and a couple people in my Travian alliance jumped on a test account immediately).
When I logged in, my queue didn't show anything training. Then I checked the skill tab under character profile directly. NOTHING is in training. So I manually tell the skill I wanted to train right away. And it starts training. After losing well over 12hrs where no training was occurring AT ALL.
So really this does nothing to provide the EVE player more secure sleep if we have to roll the dice as to whether we'll be trained or not when we wake up. Argh. --

Known issues since the patch. Don't use it until they iron out the problems. Some issues were fixed in todays(17th) patch.

Long story short, don't be online when a skill finishes (or at least manually restart the queue if it hangs while you're online), make sure you log off cleanly, and also try to make sure no skill finishes during the downtime. If you follow these simple rules, chances are minimal to get BadStuff™.

Try this. Or deleting the whole list and setting it up again. ----

Being online when a skill finishes has no effect on your skill queue whatsoever.

If I make changes to the queue, I always pause first, then clean the whole queue, apply, then re-add all skills, apply again.
Had issues like OP is describing back on test server but never had any problems by using this method. ---

I havent had any problems with the skill queue, and I thought you could only set queue for maximum of 24 hours. right?

You can only set skills that START within a maximum of 24 hours, setting a 30 day lvl5 to start in 23 hours time is perfectly fine.

Strange thing is alot of people are useing the queue system without any problems at all. I've had skills finish during DT, logged in as a skill was about to finish and had it correctly move onto the next skill just fine. |

Just because YOU never got the bug where the skill queue freezes up when you're online when a skill finishes doesn't mean nobody gets it.

Haven't had any issues with the skillqueue, and I'm running 5 accs. No problems when online, offline, skills change happens dring DT or even the server reboot we had a few days ago.
All you need to know is to hit the apply button, I'm guessing that's where most things go wrong.

Ever thought some bugs might actually exist and not 100% of players that complain are totally incompetent ?
Most of the bugs with the skill queue were ironed out in the SiSi->TQ transition, more of them were fixed recently, but some still exist for sure. _ Create a character || Fit a ship || Get some ISK |
