What does more damage to Guristas battleships: Cerb or Caracal Navy?
Navy has one more launcher slot, but Cerb has 25% RoF bonus..

25% ROF bonus means 4 missiles launched gives you one free. I'm pretty sure a Cerb has more than 4 launchers...

25% ROF bonus means 4 missiles launched gives you one free. I'm pretty sure a Cerb has more than 4 launchers...
That assumes HAC 5 though also...

Math is hard.
6 * 1.25 = 7.5 Effective launchers (CNC Cruiser V)
5 * 1.25 * 1.333 = 8.33125 Effective launchers (Cerb HAC V)
5 * 1.25 * 1.25 = 7.8125 Effective Launchers (Cerb HAC IV)
Damage mods effect them both identically in % DPS increase. Cerb has more total missile DPS but 20% less alpha compared to the CNC. CNC also has a 15/15 drone bay, which adds 59dps (Hob IIs). For comparison, a 2x BCUed HML w/ CN ammo is 51dps on the CNC platform.
Their DPS is practically identical, although the CNC will edge out a Cerb's DPS with good drone skills.

Well even with HAC to 4 thats 20% ROF. ROF = More DPS.

think about it like this, the cerb has 5 laucnhers, the navy issue 6, which is a 20% (5 turrets 1/5 = 0.20) increase in damage, however there is no 25% reduction in rate of fire
so 1.2/1 = 1.2 1/0.75 = 1.333, therefore the cerb wins by 13% damage

With lvl 3 to HAC skill for the Cerberus the Navy Caracal is slightly better (since you need Cruiser 5 to get to HAC anyway). With lvl 4 to HAC the Cerberus is better |

Cerb also has better resists and range. Ratting guristas and serps with a cerb is hilariously easy, and you can easily use a 3-BCS II fit
