Just wanted to give some feedback on the new graphics and sound ( what I have seen so far, haven't played much lately ).
About the graphics,
1st of all, there is still no Anti Aliasing option ingame, so in that regard the premium client is still a letdown, and a downgrade from classic. Especially minmatar stations ( inside and outside ) have loads of jaggies ( could live with them ) and shimmering ( I really hate those ). This is so bad that I used to prefer to run the classic client, pure graphics quality wise.
I guess most of the time spend on graphics went to this bizare new stargate jump animation ... I mean wth is that? It feels totally unnatural, should have just left it as it was ... no improvement at all.
The new warp animation is ok, but too transparant imho, you can hardly see that there is actually an animation going on ... so I think it should be less transparent.
About the sound,
Well, it could be possible that the new warp sound is cooler then the old one, however I can hardly hear it, I could turn all the other audio down and turn world audio up, but then the in station sound becomes way too noisy. So I suggest to turn up the warp sound volume.
So far I am not impressed, and think that the invested time and effort would have been better spend elsewhere.

Do what I do, pretend they're getting around to putting better effects in when they get the time.
Or the other thing I consider, join huge a 0.0 alliance as you now have a better excuse than ever to turn them all off. 
(If I keep that in mind for a year or two it'll come true at some point, hopefully something like the awesomeness shown at fanfest)

I really, really miss the old warp effects.
The old warp graphic seemed very original to me, and it just looked nice. Especially since you can tell once you've achieved maximum warp, very cool. But the best part was the sound, the "BOOM" sound that played once you hit maximum warp. Every time I warp now, I hear the "BOOM" sound in my head, but to my disappointment it is gone from the game.

True, it seems that something is very wrong in the new sound system, some effects sound like muffled, some are crackling (i.e. when salvaging), and in general it seems that volume is dropped to half of pre-apocrypha. Was the idea behind this new sound system that ppl would start to play EVE with sounds on? Well, this has just the opposite effect..

hrm, ccp really, can't you just put the old warp effect + sound back in the game ? It was much better, you actually knew you were warping then ...
