Just Killed a 1 bill Hulk Mining in Low Sec

CDiddy Caldari NUKE IT FROM ORBIT	Posted - 2009.03.20 10:32:00 - [1] Edited by: CDiddy on 20/03/2009 10:33:22 I was roaming low sec solo like I usually do in Crow and I come across a system called Iesa, quiet, but with a Hulk and a couple wrecks on scan. Anyway I proceed to browse through the total of 4 belts (lol a hulk in a 4 belt system), and I find a cargo container with 0.2 mil Veldspar in it, and the Hulk off scan. I check my map to see if he's docked up seeing as he's the only one in local, and he was. So I warp to a planet until aggression wears off and then jumped to a high sec system. I waited 40 seconds for him to undock and warp to his cargo container and it turns out he was quick and beat me off the mark, he took 3/4 of what was in his cargo container and had already docked up with it. Anyway I wait for about 6 seconds after inspecting the cargo container and he warps in, I engage him and as I'm plowing through his pathetic tank with my pathetic interceptor DPS he starts abusing me as expected, after about 20 salvos and his tank slowly disappearing I offer him a 80 mil ransom, he declines saying that there is only 10 mil left. And I thought hrm, you can't be serious, he actually destroyed his rigs? Anyway, I brushed that aside and tried to make the offer again, he refused, again. So I just closed the chat window and proceeded to kill him, and then pod him for kicks. Anyway, as I'm taking what's left of his wreck back to the station he shows up again in local, so I proceed to smack talk him by offering his corpse for 1 mil, he responds with hostility yet again. Then I say, it's not my fault you're mining in low sec blah blah blah and he responds with -- "u just costed 1 bill any wonder go frak ur self" and I'm like what? He's probably lying. Anyway, the chat proceeds and he admits that he had T2 Cargo Rigs fitted. At that point I think I almost passed out from laughter and was no longer lamenting the sec hit :D. A 1b kill, if it was one, is nice but its rather common that expensive ships die - its not common for ppl to post about. Also expect ppl to take a lok at your losses as well, and those better be few and with good setups otherwise all you get is ppl smiling at you, as above ;) -
