I noticed that the scythe has a bonus to tracking links. What are tracking links and what are they used for?
Thanks in advance.

tracking links are like remote tracking computers. they use scripts either for increased tracking or optimal range. I used to run the scythe as support for my rokh sometimes. the quality of your "hits" increases like you wouldn't believe.

So if I am understanding correctly, It will hep others in your fleet to hit more accurately by iether improving optimal range or tracking speed. Sounds like a very solid fleet support ability for a cruiser. Swimming with Bricks. |

They can actually work quite well in a BS sniper fleet, as long as you move quick enough other snipers wont be able to hit you, and you can provide the fleet with improved tracking, greatly increasing their hit quality and reducing misses, making the fleet more effective.

no one cares enough about the scythe to call alpha on it

So does that mean its firepower is insignificant or that merely when in the presence of Battleships you have bigger fish to fry? Swimming with Bricks. |

In a big gang like a sniper BS gang, it can not even engage anything from the 170+km you will be away, and it is not designed to be a gunboat, rather a support ship. So yes its insignificant in terms of actual DPS towards the enemy fleet, but it does wonders for friendly snipers, especially those with artillery.
