"Connection Timeout - The server did not respond to the client's secure-handshake request within a reasonable amount of time"
Can anybody explain to me what's happening here? My internet is up and running smoothly. The server status shows that it's ok with 36kish players.
I've tried this on both my Eve accounts and the same thing happened for the past 1 hour or so.

Exact same issue. Problems with the API key as well. EFT gives me no character to choose from to import skills. EVEMon reports server status unknown. Login says 36k players but I just cant get past the authentication.

Same here, been happening about an hour.
Before this I lost connection to the game 2 or 3 times.

Also have this issue :( tried from 2 different computers, not authenticating.

anyone know what is causing this? I have had this happen to me too, it seem to happened at about the same time yesterday too. it only seems to affect Eve, webbrowsing is still fine and other games are fine so I don't suspect that its an ISP thing, I can also ping the server time with no interruptions.

I reckon this router in sweden (ldn-b4-link.telia.net) is your problem, im having the same drama. all servers from telia are giving me massive packet loss.
