I am still currently using the 3.7 drivers  with my radeon 9800 pro 128mb cos i had a few probs with ones after that but am looking to download a newer driver. Anyone using 4.7 or 4.8 ? whats the stability like on these ? how does eve run and latest games (doom 3 etc) ?

I use a 9800 xt with the 4.8 drivers and have had no problems in eve or doom 3 or any other games for that matter

X800pro with cat 4.8's, no problems whatsoever

Does that mean the Eve folks fixed the incompatibility they had with the latest Catalyst drivers? Cool. Now maybe they can figure out why billboards don't show correctly on nVidia chipsets. ;-)

Thanks for the replies. After a bit of hassle cleaning the old driver out i installed the new 4.8 drivers and tried a few things (including eve) and seems fine and a good frame rate increase in most of my FPS's
