You lose a faction ship? For example the Navy Issue Megathron which will cost me 600,000LP. Once its destroyed do you have to make the LP back all over again?
If so, why would anyone want to take a faction ship to a PvP fight?

The trick is not losing it.
Or paying 250m for a replacement.

An even better trick is NOT using your LP to purchase one. It's a waste of LP. Sell your LP, and buy your Navy Mega off contracts instead.

Whatever comes first, 500mil ISK or 600,000LP...although i wouldnt mind using the LP for improved implants.
(i prefer to have enough ISK to buy 2 ships before i buy 1)

You could also sell some stuff right on the market.
You could also fleet with players before turning in your mission and share your LPs with them that way.
