I think bumping interceptor warp speed up a bit (say... to 8au/sec or 10au/sec) would allow them to more accurately fulfill their role. If interceptors had a slight advantage over normal frigates (but not quite as good as the covert ops ships) when it came to warp speed I think it would put them squarely in the middle of the purpose that they were designed for.

I agree. It's hard to catch up to other frigs/ceptors when in a ceptor myself. Usualy have to get lucky and hope they stop running long enough to target and scramble.
