Hey guys, Question on the new character creation. Well what is up with starting character now having only 56k sp? I mean a couple weeks before the expansion made one with also 900k sp. Did I miss something somewhere or are you making it more difficult for anyone starting the game?

They removed a lot of the starting skills and halved training time until you reach 1.6m sp. I think most of the reasons for this were the fact that a lot of characters were created with semi-redundant skills. __________________

This new method works out much better in my opinion. It makes a new character a TON more customizable and new players leanr as the skills go up not jump in with a bunch of skills off the bat. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, God will be a light unto me. |

Wish they would have let us train alt characters up to 800k SP or so with this. For the first time ever, we can't create alts that can actually do something.. they must be trained up at the expense of training on our main character. Bleh, I say.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

Um... originally characters started with between 40k and 90k skill points... so I don't see how this is the first time ever. |

Utter rubbish, I say. 800k SP alts were recently introduced.
The new alts are much better for new players and much less use for metagaming alt-abuse.

Quite smart of CCP both to enhance the game for genuine new players while at the same time gimping alt abuse. Thumps up for that. ---------------- Mr. Science & Trade Institute
