Just a quick question to the person that designed these forum, why is there no search facility?
Sorry but i find it hard to believe that with such a large forum that theres no search facility. As eve-marketplace.com seems to be dead i find it annoying to a: trawl through pages to try and find some information
b:seeing the same old newb questions over and over again, in a usual forum u'd slag the newb for not searching, well here u need the paitence and the time of a dead person to even bother
so what i want to know is y theres not a search? and if theres an alternative to the now dead eve-marketplace.com to search, without using google mysite: etc?

Create hourly dumps of the new articles in a machine readable format in a standardised naming scheme in BZ2 format accessible through ftp service or even http.
Stuff like "2004.08.18 20:00.bz2" for all articles on 18th between 19:00 and 20:00. Use a machine readable format like CSV and please not XML ;)
It was done that way in other games and after a short while you may have several people using the data and offering services you didnt even think about or couldnt implement due to the lack of time :O (poster history, posting frequency, personal profiles with ignore/blocking, rating of postings etc.etc.etc.)
If you make it publicly accessible to everybody and the bandwidth turns out to be too high or you dont want people to use the data unless they signed some agreement or make their tool available to the public, then place it behind a passworded folder and only make 2 or 3 sample archives publicly available so people can toy with them.

Would be nice if someone manage to get the code from eve marketplace and sets it up again. I can't see it happening from CCP or others though but i'm happy with making do with google so no real complaint.
