Hello Mit, I have noticed you have been locking quite a few threads and redirecting them to two other discussion threads on the same subject. While I can agree that having many threads on the same subject can be construed as spam. What I cannot agree with is that the community has repeatedly asked for an answer and CCP has not provided one. The threads you have told everyone to discuss in do not contain the answers the community seeks which is why repeated threads have been made. We are all customers paying 15 euros/dollars per month for a service, and we all want a simple explanation. Why can you not respect you customers enough to either give them a simple explanation, or a reason why you cannot give a simple explanation?
The community for the most part has been reasonable, and in return we ask that you be reasonable too. You can lock all the threads that you want provided you answer the community's simple question: "Why was KenZoku allowed to change their name when none of the other alliances are allowed to do so, when, in fact it is against the rules CCP itself has set out?"
Please answer the question, not only will it take very little time to answer the question but, once the question is answered people will stop asking it which will save these forums from the spam. I am fine with you locking this thread provided you answer the question, but until you answer the question the community has for CCP, it will keep coming up, and we won't accept any locked threads until then.

1' the is no proof that kenzoku did not pay 1 bilion for name changes.
2' like some other observed, alliance renaming is not covered in knowledge base.
3' stop ****** spam, and wait for an answers from ccp.
if they want to give one, they will. if not, 100 more ******ed spam topics will not help anyway.

Agreed.
Locking multiple threads is entirely appropriate. Especially when they're trash or complete trolls.
But, the lack of official response to the elephant in the room is sadly - but not surprisingly - disappointing.

little known explot ruined a huge alliance of members working togeher for a period of years.
same alliances names stolen by same goons.
boards bloated by goonie bragging.
you sir are most likely a goonie alt, and as such you can continue to whine, because i love your pathetic tears.
goons took what they could not by metagaming, and as such deserve no respect at all.

Weather or not it is cove3red, the problem is that every other alliance has been forced to reform when they wanted to change their name, even BoB had to reform into KenZoku, the name change without reforming is quite sudden and definatley against set precedence, and has caused CCP to be accused of favoritism (again)

The problem here is that an answer is not forthcoming, it isn't very hard for CCP to write a simple paragraph to explain the whole situation. Heres how it goes
CCP screws up
community calls ccp out on screw up
ccp makes vauge comments and chainclocks threads
answers never come from ccp.
This isn't the first time this has happened, we still don't have all the answeres regarding the T2 exploit.

my opinion is ccp would not do such a thing without beign proper covered. missing bit from kb could be a clue.
we know and they know how much amount of **** could spit goons on the forum.
now is a matter of time before explanation, wich will not come from devs/gm/whatever, petition beign a private sistem, or to forget the whole ****, but to hear this again and again every time a goon is jealous/had a bad dream/dint get laid that day. and from some pl people.
personally i find this funny. 1' time when i spend more than 5 min in coad.

Why do you think they're going to say anything right now and not, say, when people are actually awake?
Then again I fail to the the tactical point in bandzoku reloaded's name change, the whines about it make it sound like they have full sov of delve now due to it.
Maybe they changed the naming policy and dropped the ball on putting it in the kb/wiki, who knows. Thinking they're going to give answers right now when late at night is just wishful thinking on your part because, ultimately, this isn't a massive horrific travesty (other than the name being really stupid ).

On the matter of time, so far I have seen that Wrangler and Mital are on as they have been locking threads. Personally I would be happy with one of them saying that they will bring it up with their bosses in iceland as soon as they wake up, so far there hasn't even been that. So far the CCP devs who have been on have brushed it off an ignored us.
Obviously answers won't be instant, but it would be nice to not be ignored. If the devs online don't have answers then at least tell us who does, and when we might expect answers. It's not really that difficult, and if you don't know then tell us such.

So, I am no goon, and this has actually rubbed me wrong again. It is the bending of rules time and time again for a specific group of folk. Time and time again CCP gives into what these guys want. It is time to start finding a way to seperate your workers from your players. It isn't right to feel like there is a chance that someone you are shooting at has an upper edge due to bent rules. Bent rules are broken rules, that when seen as broken others wonder why they apply to them. I want to rename my alliance for free. I have a few toons that could use new names after 5 years of use. Would be fresh, nice, could make new friends, and get rid of those old ghosts. An advantage.
What bobbinonCCPnobbers got, was a hand out. For one reason or another (can we say consentual bttsx) this group of individuals have gotten a "special" version of EvE to play with. One that normal players like me have thought was a level playing field until beaver manure like this comes to light time and time again.
Change your policies CCP. Do something about it.
