If I stay in a W-space system, how can I log off and still expect my ship to be there again the next day?
If I cloak a ship, does it stay cloaked if I log off? Also can probes pick up cloaked ships? Maybe this is a solution. _____________________________________________________

O.o When you log off, your ship is removed from the game after any aggression timers wear off. I'd be more concerned about whether the wormhole will still be there.

Really? I always thought that the ship warped to a random location and stayed there until you logged back in.
The WH still being there is not a problem, I could just scan for another.
Hmm, if I had 2 ships, I guess the ship I'm not in would remain in space for anybody to steal. _____________________________________________________

Yes, the ship you are not in will stay there... and anyone to enter the wormhole will find it. :)

I logged off in w-space a few times, nothing bad happened. The only problem I had is that the nod for the w-space gets lower priority when the server is starting up - might have to wait a while for it to load. If you aren't playing right after downtime, it's no trouble at all. *-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^ By the way, I am an Ishtar and T2 sentries fan. This gives me an idea!
Should there be an option to put your ship into 'dead' mode, all systems go offline rendering you invisible to probes. Starting up takes time and you have to reactivate all your modules manually.

Yeah and I want a big button that says "ECM Pulse" when the Space Spiders try to attack my ship ......

My experience is that when you log back in your ship returns to warp and you move to where you logged off. So you kind of reset the last warp-to destination as if you didn't get there the first time. (hope this makes some kind of sense)
If you were in a covops, you will no longer be cloaked, and you'll have to recloak while in warp.
I've logged off in W-space and logged back in, with the same results.

The W-Space is static , like K-Space, its the entrances/exits i.e. wormholes that are not, they move about.
So if you log off in W-Space, stay offline for a few days, then relog, your ship returns to the log off location just as in K-Space. I've spent a few days livng in W-Space with some friends and it works fine. Logged in the next day and kept on ratting Sleepers.
Your way out will more than likely have collapsed so you'll need to scan your way out. |

No unless you have a timer running and once the timer is gone then it's No again..
log off your ship warps to a safe spot and within 30 sec's is gone from game
log off with timer ships warps to a safe spot waits untill timer is 0 then ship is gone from game
so unless someone is scanning you when you log off then there is next to no way for them to find you (expect in the timer count down time)
