Is there anything a pilot can do to recover something, say a fitted rigged Marauder, that is in possession of a person who moved it (for you) in a carrier but hasn't logged in for over 4 months. I don't know what happened to him but he hasn't logged in for ages.
I just want to know what could be done for the original owner of the ship in this scenario, or isn't there? I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get screwed and I waited this long cause I though maybe something bad happened to him in RL.
I do understand that game mechanics would allow him to steal it if he wanted to in the game. But I feel as though this isn't exactly in game context and I have absolutely NO way to make any attempts to solve it in game.

My guess would be that he DID steal it. If you don't think this is what happened, try to contact people who know him personally (corp mates, alliance buddies, etc).
But no, there is no game mechanic to help you.

No, there is no way of recovering the ship unless the owner of the carrier decides to give it to you. By putting the ship in the carriers maintenance bay or by player trade it is in effect giving the ship to the other person. Your Marauder is now the property of the carrier's owner.
The solution would have been to set up a contract with the carrier owner so that you could claim back the ISK value of the items in the event of the ship not being given back.

Thanks for the advice. I know he would give it back to me, he just has to be on eve to do it and he hasn't been. Playing WoW I heard.
