What I want to know is really, the Market Basics. How to make money as a business man. Obviously buy low - sell high. But more specific, I'm willing to learn most of it my self, but a helping hand would be, delicious. As I'm new to Eve, go easy on me. Edit: For example - which skills to get first, I've heard about people, in tears because they chose the wrong skills. Any help? Dawn

I find many times trial and error being a nice method.
Find a product which is cheap in a region and move it to another region where sell orders are higher.
Jita is the most active trading hub but there are others. Almost every region got their own hub, normally the more centered system, or sometimes one with lots of "good" missioning-stations.
You can try Jita 4-4 search some modules that you normally use and set a buy order, 0.01isk higher than the highest one. Quantity 1-10 for 3 or 4 different items. And 3months as it costs the same than 1day, but normally you will be done before 1 week as much then you can sell it on the very same station setting a sell order, or you may fly to other regions and sell there for a most probably higher price.

Hi Kui. I'd be glad to help out a beginner. Message me in-game. I can give you an overview of the "basics" privately, then get you in touch with people I know who can send you beyond that.

lmao I sometimes did this and yes its a bad idea. Specially if the items are all around the region and 5 minutes later some dude sets a low order again with a big quantity.

Pretty much everything under trade :P Accounting and broker relations are more helpful the more isk you plan on moving, +orders is helpful the more places you want to work, and marketing is hugely helpful if you want to sell stuff without flying there first.
Social skills are indirectly helpful to improve your standing - more standing = less taxes.
If you plan to do any of your own hauling, industrials, navigation skills for agility, and hull upgrades for cargo expanders are a nice touch. I'd recommend doing at least some of your own hauling, so you know exactly what you are paying for before you begin writing courier contracts. If you bring in couriers, you'll want contracting to up the number you can have active.

You need to do some amount of flying around looking at buy orders, sell orders, and volume moved in a bunch of different systems in a bunch of different regions.
Then you know what to buy where and what to sell where. Sep'Shoni

Trading is just like running a business in real life, it's not for everyone. You need some basic business sense or trading will never work for you. It takes time and lots of research. And don't expect people to tell you have to take business away from them!
Expect to loose money until you learn how to make money. Expect trading to take months before it can support you. You need to re-invest everything you make for months on end. You have to grow before taking ANY profits.
It took me about 4 to 5 months to sell a billion isk worth of products, another 2 months to make a billion in profits.
