Yeah, getting free gifts from CCP is nice and appreciated, but getting something special like the Snowball's and Launcher was extremely unique and fun, not to mention it'll always be remembered. Hell, each winter I scan the universe looking for that elusive 'Cold Wave', hoping for a chance to re-freeze the melted snowballs stored in station.
Another thing that would be memorable is a chance to get one of the various 'Limited Edition' collector ships that have been previously introduced into the game, such as the rarely seen Interbus Shuttle, the new Quafe Industrial, etc.
Anyway, of all the gifts being offered, this one looked interesting:
A Paxist Treasure - Pax Ammaria - Collector's Item
I wasn't sure what the Pax Ammaria is so I did an Evelopedia search and found this page created by CCP Abraxas:

Just generating out of thin air useful items is a pretty bad thing to do in a player run sandbox. Players wont get a chance to sell their minerals to make those ships, or use their LP/storyline rewards to get those implants.
Yeah, yeah, free things shouldn't cry...
Would take remaps or gimmicky vanity/collectors items over 250K +4 implants suddenly appearing ingame. |

Ok, if you don't like the current offer here is my counter proposal.
CCP negwallets every active subscription by 50m per account - removing 15 trillion isk from the game. This reduces inflation making everything cheaper for everyone.
The forums would also ensure it was a birthday gift to remember. |

Yay, going that way with my miner too... it's the kind of carp you never had skill queue time for, now at least won't cost iskies and has got decent resell value if you already trained some of them.

Refine Your Skills - Memory Augmentation Standard and Cybernetic Subprocessor Standard (Implants) + Scrapmetal, Ice and all other ore Processing (Skillbooks)
Not bad at all. You get "All" the ore processing skillbooks, plus ice, etc. On top of that they give you two +4 implants. Those are skills that I would probably not buy, but I will train them if they are given to me for free. I'm happy. |
