Hello - I am the executor of the chubby chups chubba chups alliance (see ticker)
I see it is now possible to change alliance names on a whim with no penalties.
I am saddled with a silly alliance name (which prevent me from "selling" the alliance as I should like to do (for half the creation cost) to an group of corporation whos would like to set up an alliance, but dont want to pay 1 bill and get the character trained to start up the alliance skill).
 Previously I had no options as the rules prohibited a name change.
In the light of our new laize-faire attitude to rules - I would like to change my alliance name to something mean and sell able.
I also see the naming conventions no longer stand - can someone confirm I can use any length name and if the list of illegal characters and words still stands for the general public or if only "special case" people can break these rules?.
Ive looked through the petition menu and don't see any option for this - do i need a bat phone (just a light hearted joke in a serious post dont beat me! )
Seriously though - Can somebody please inform me how to do this. What email address or what petition category should I use.

Yes they changed Kenny.
Yes they were within their rights to do so, says in the EULA.

The only joke I made was about tha bat phone (i am sorry i was trying to be a bit lighthearted about the whole thing)
Im deadly serious about the name change, I can sell this alliance (sell-hand over) for 500million isk if i can change the silly name. Presently its worth nothing and I regret the choice of the name.
How would i go about this

I dont want this thread to turn into a BOB type flame fest though I am using the Bob Reloaded name change as a precident.
My alliance is actualy YOUNGER the Kengoku were - so should fit nicely into the "timely fashion" quoted by CCP
Also I actualy have a reason for the name change rather then "I didnt like Kengoku and fancied a change" so I would suggest my case was more worthy.

CCP also changed my corp name when I fecked up and made a mistake. So, its not just big uber alliance that they take pity on.
I call 'Bull****' CCP. Isn't it great that the alchemy process was introduced & can 'take up the slack?' |

File the petition and let us know the result. Make sure to paraphrase GM response so it don't get deleted.
Trolling aside, I'm curious to see if CCP are going to be consistent with the new rule change, or if it was just a special case exception
