How about a local time converter for the interface.
Just have the end user select their time zone and EVE shows their local time as well as EVE standard time.

Agreed, though I'm kinda used to look at in-game clock and think +2 each time .

Not required.
EVE is global, get used to global clocks (UTC) Most people can do the addition/subtraction of time in their heads...

Edited by: Miraqu on 25/03/2009 17:01:17 The Eve time is necessary to syncronize fleets, events or operations.
You should't see only yourself. In many larger alliances are players from around the world. In many cases from different continents and timezones. Eve is a global game.
Even if there was no eve time, there would be a need for the players to agree to a common time. In the fleet are players from us west, us east, gmt, cet where many of them have a daylight saving time and some others not. You would then require the players to keep track of how many hours their time is apart from the common agreed time. This would cause many misunderstandings.
Its like the military worldwide even the US Army uses GMT as Zulu-Time for all higher correspondence to keep misunderstandings from happening.

I really like having the EVE clock. If I want local time, I check my watch. Using EVE time helps synch multi-time zone ops which, for someone who hates converting things, is great.

You can add extra clocks in Windows. I have Eve-time and local time on there.

Not needed. All corps use Eve time as a general rallying time. No need to confuse everything. If you can't convert the time on the fly then you need to mount a clock over your monitor. ------------------------------------
